sport rider SE

The Sport Rider SE platform-style hitch bike rack makes it simple to carry 2 electric bikes on the rear of your vehicle. It features locking frame hooks and heavy-duty wheel holders with welded gussets to reinforce the rack so it can handle the extra weight. An anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the tube.

Locking, Ratcheting Hooks

ratcheting hooks

The Sport Rider SE uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting, cushioned hooks easily adjust along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The release buttons allow each hook to slide up the ratcheting arm for bike removal. The hooks function independently, which means you can position them to carry bikes of different heights.

Adjustable Wheel Hoops

wheel hoops

The wheel hoops accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 60" by sliding along the horizontal arms. They secure in place with easy-to-use hand knobs, and ratchet straps fasten the wheels to the hoops. These universal wheel hoops will fit standard and fat tires up to 5" wide.

Folding, Tilting Design

tilting

The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.

folding

The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.

Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System

The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling.

hitch tightener

It also comes with a hitch tightener to help reduce vertical wobble by pressing the shank against the receiver. It attaches to the top or bottom of the flange on your receiver using a U-bolt and clamp bar.

A removable adapter sleeve is included so the rack can be converted for use with 1-1/4" hitch receivers. The sleeve attaches to the shank with a single screw and can be installed or removed quickly.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

The lock cores in the frame hooks hold the bike down on the rack and prevent them from moving. Also, the lock pod attaches to the hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle. These locks are conveniently keyed alike. For extra protection, the 8' long security cable wraps through the bike frames, connects to the hitch pin, and is secured to the pin by the hitch lock.

  • 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch Adapter For Bike Rack On A 2011 Toyota Camry With The Draw-Tite 36416 Hitch
Hello Richard. We do have an adapter, the Brophy Hitch Adapter # HT5R which may work very well for you. This will go in to the 1-1/4" receiver on your Camry and give you a 2" receiver with 5" of rise. It is very important to note that when using this kind of adapter, the weight capacity of your hitch will be reduced by 50%. This means that your Draw-Tite # 36416 hitch will only be able to carry 150 lbs of tongue weight. This is including the weight of the adapter (8 lbs) plus the weight...

  • Is Adapter Needed with Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for Step-Thru Frames
The padded ratcheting hooks on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR that you were looking at can slide up and down the length of the vertical mast, so they should be able to grab onto the frame of a step-thru bike like yours. With that being said if the step-thru is more dramatic than most you may just need to add an adapter bar like # HRBA-PRO to create a horizontal attachment point for a secure connection.

  • How to Choose the Best E-Bike Rack
There are a wide variety of E-Bike racks that we carry and the best way in filtering through them is by looking at these points: Weight Capacity Style/Compatibility Pricing Weight capacity is important because it can vary between bike racks. For example, the best racks (in my opinion) for E-Bikes are the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR (80 lbs per bike), the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 (65 lbs per bike), and the Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B (60 lbs per bike). The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75676 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Lexus RX 450h. We do not have any videos of the RX450h with that particular hitch receiver, but I have added the video of the installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13143 which is also a fit to assist.

  • Recommended Bike Rack to Carry 2 Heavy RadRunner E-Bikes
You're on the right track with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR, which is the best choice for carrying your heavy RadRunner E-bikes because it has the heaviest capacity available at a hefty 80-lbs per bike, as well as being rated for use on the back of your motorhome. The Sport Rider SE2 has adjustable wheel cradles to fit a variety of bike sizes and the ratcheting hooks come with integrated locks to make sure that your bikes are secured when attached to the rack. • Could Hollywood Racks E-Bike Rack Fit 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler
Probably not but you'd need to take one measurement. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your Jeep Hitch out to the furthest point on the rear spare. If that measurement is less than 7-1/2 inches the Hollywood Racks E-Bike Rack # HLY74FR would fit without interference.

  • E-Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying 2 Blix E-Bikes
I looked up the Blix e-bikes and they weigh just under 50 lbs and have a very low crosstube which is common for e-bikes. So the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670 is a great bike rack but it does not have the weight capacity you need as it has a 35 lb per bike capacity. So for a similar rack that does have the capacity needed you'd want the part # HLY74FR which has a weight capacity of 80 lbs per bike and was designed for carrying the heavier e-bikes. I attached a review video for more info on...

Thanks for reaching out, Joshua! The Fat Tire Adapter Kit # LGA87FR uses rubber straps that would be a real struggle to get to fit a 4-1/2" fat tire. Because of this, I recommend checking out the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY74FR which can handle up to 5" wide tires and bikes that weigh up to 80 lbs each. Instead you need to use a bike rack that secures the bike by the frame. The Gateway by Monday Motorbikes has 4 inch wide tires but I can't find information on the overall weight. The Swagman Current 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # S64678 you asked about is rated for up to 60 lbs per bike so it very well could work depending on the Gateway's weight. • Least Expensive Way to Carry Two 75 Lb Electric Bikes on 2016 Ram 1500
I have a suggestion for you, but unfortunately, we're not going to have a hitch mounted bike rack for electric bikes that's going to fit into your budget. Most of our e-bike racks max out at 60 lbs per bike, so your least expensive options are going to be either the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR, with a capacity of 70 lbs per bike, or the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR, with a capacity of 80 lbs per bike -- both over budget. Unfortunately your bike is just over that, so unless you can reduce the weight of the bike by removing the battery, I recommend the Thule EasyFold XT 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack # TH903202 which is compatible with bikes up to 65 lbs and will not require any adapter bar. We do have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR which would be able to carry your 75 lb E-Bike but this doesn't have a ramp so you'd have to muscle the bike up to the bike rack.
