Features to know about

Strong Support for Heavy E-Bikes: 80 lb Capacity Per Bike

Hauling big battery builds takes muscle, and this rack is built for it. Each spot handles up to 80 lbs per bike, so even fully outfitted e-bikes ride steady. Bolstered steel construction, welded gussets, and heavy-duty wheel holders keep your bikes locked down without flex or sway. Fat tires up to 5.0" wide and wheelbases as long as 60" slide right in, while the included SW-ADP-U adapter lets you load bikes with 20" wheels without leaving the smaller riders behind.

Secure Hold Without Frame Damage: Locking Ratcheting Hooks

The ratcheting frame hooks move smoothly along the upright mast to clamp each bike by its frame. Padded contact points protect the finish and lock in place to deter theft. Because the hooks adjust independently, mismatched frame heights aren’t a problem - each bike gets a snug fit that stays tight mile after mile.

Quick Access and Compact Storage: Tilts Down and Folds Up

Grabbing gear from the rear shouldn’t mean unloading everything. A spring-pin system lets the rack tilt down with bikes loaded so you can reach the cargo area easily. When the ride’s done, pull the upper pin and fold the rack against the vehicle to save space and keep it out of the way. It’s a simple mechanism that makes everyday use easier.

Smooth Ride, No Wobble: Tool-Free Anti-Rattle System

A built-in anti-rattle handle tightens the shank inside the receiver tube - no wrench needed. The included hitch tightener adds another layer of stability by clamping the shank to the hitch flange. Together they cut out vibration and noise, keeping the rack rock solid even over rough pavement or long hauls.

Built-In Security from Rack to Bike: Keyed-Alike Locks and Cable

Every connection point is protected. The keyed-alike hitch lock, frame-hook locks, and 8' security cable secure the rack to the hitch and the bikes to the rack in one system. Lock it up once and both your bikes and rack stay right where you left them.

Very heavy duty. The instructions say not to mount on a travel trailer or 5th wheel which is what I bought the bike rack for. My travel trailer rear receiver and bumper are rated for 300 lbs, so I don’t know why I can’t use it that way. Anyone, the product description should point out this limitation if you think it is legitimate or just a cover themselves from issues.

Great rack. Easy to assemble, easy to put bike on/off, keeps bike secure. Love the way it folds up when not in use. Quality product.

by:

I would have given a 5 star but it was missing the stop block on the hitch part. Now I have to get down and line up the hole for the pin. Everything else was good and carries our bikes safely.

Rack works fine after I put my own stop block on it. The other part was sent without the stop block attached also. Have had no problems carrying two e bikes. Rad 5s.

Great rack for my two Lectric bikes. Easy and very sturdy! Would recommend this for sure!

by:

Only rack available that could handle 2 70 pound ebikes. Assembly was pretty easy, maybe 90 minuets.
Rack is big and strong, all steel construction. Bikes are very secure when I’m driving. Loading the bikes onto the rack is challenging. Lifting and positioning a heavy bike can be hard. Not for the feint of heart but everything about ebikes is more cumbersome. Linda at etrailer was great, helpful and took her time to make sure that I got the right product. Would definitely shop there again.

1 year later the rack is working out very well. Still carrying those heavy bikes without incident. Bike are super secure, even at high speed on long trips. Don’t have to remove the rack in order to open the rear hatch on my Murano. Sometimes the tire trays are a little balky about sliding back and forth, but not a big problem. Originall thought $500 was a lot for an ebike rack. Now I think it’s a deal. Some are up to $1300. Anyway, still using it several times a week, and am still impressed with it.

by:

It’s extremely sturdy, which also makes it a bit heavier than I’d like. It would be nice too if they offered a choice of smaller tire hoops for non fat tire bikes. Otherwise, it’s a very good rack and the keyed locks are a nice touch.

by:

Awesome bike rack! At first I thought it was a bit heavy but once it was built and, on the car, I found it solid and the right rack for my 65 lb Rad Power Bike. The assembly went smoothly and took about an hour. I'm using a 1 1/4 in Class II hitch and all fit tight and solid (no wobble). I'm not sure but everything including the bolts and nuts looked powder coated. Maybe not but I don't think this rack will rust. Its very easy to mount my bike. I simply lift the rear wheel and set it in then lift the front wheel and set it. I'm not lifting a 65 lb e-bike. The car is a 2018 VW Passat. To me, its worth every penny.

Ok, after 1 year: I left the rack on the car since I installed it a year ago. Yep, on the car all winter. On close inspection, there is NO rust and everything is like new. Winter here in Western WA is all rain and a lot of it. This rack and my Ebike have opened new worlds for me! Seriously. I check maps for bike trails all over the state. I rack up my bike and drive to trailheads and explore new vistas. Its been transformational for me. At 83, I need the electric assist but there are no obstacles for me other than city streets. I do not ride in car traffic period. No problem though. Ive got this awesome heavy duty easy to use bike rack. Oh, and a plus. It holds 2 bikes so I drive to my daughters and we add her bike and I can show her all the trails Ive discovered. Im glad I picked this rack. It seemed the gold standard at Rad and now I can see why.

Performs exactly as advertised. Easy to use

by:

etrailer always delivers great stuff that I can trust. Thank you for exceptional service as always.

by:

Works as advertised. One consideration, bikes cover up the tail lights and break lights. I purchased the the 4 wire trailer light kit and wireless turn signals to avoid a hazardous situation and ticket.

by:

I have a very heavy e-bike and this rack has been excellent. Easy to use and secure my bike to my Hyundai Elantra. I've had no issues and feel confident my bike is secured safely on the rack.

by:

Very good rack. Sturdy for my 80 lb e-bike, low profile when folded up it does not block my tail lights, no rust after a year mounted on my car.

This Hollywood Rack is excellent! Thank you etrailer! The delivery was on time. And everything was nicely in the box. The directions are good but I watch the Hollywood Video on [online] and it was great. I am 62 and put this rack completely together myself. So proud. The rack is solid and holds my Rad Rover Step Through 1 perfectly. Now I can hit the trails and not just my neighborhood.

by:

Fast delivery. Great assembly video snd support online info.
Using it as a single eBike rack with support straps due to car tongue weight limits.

by:

This is a heavy duty rack. I think it's great. Really well packaged. Took a while just to get all the parts out and ready for assembly - but I appreciate the way it was packaged. It's eight degrees out tonight and snowing, but I need this for transporting bikes to FL in two weeks. So I couldn't assemble as instructed cause I wasn't going to do this at my hitch. Instructions were OK, but a little challenging to follow, but got through it. My Advice: Don't tighten anything up til the end. I probably did the whole assembly, on the floor in about 1/2 hour. That was after spending a fair amount of time just reading through the instructions which I found a little challenging - there's a lot of detail there. Heck of a good rack for fat tire bikes.

by:

After a rocky start, all is good today! Bike rack arrived quickly, and the etrailer shipping carton was in perfect condition but the Hollywood Rack carton was torn up and re-taped. Think I had been blessed with a customer-return, and there were parts missing. I made an inquiry to customer service, and had a call back within an hour (thank you Trevor!), and had the replacement parts from Hollywood in my hands by the 4th day.Thank you for the prompt attention, and quick turn-around!

by:

Very heavy. The holding pins require a fair amount of force to unlock to lower the rack to open the trunk. Also, loading the bike could be difficult for some. I guess that is the price to pay for having an e-bike

Sanford profile picture

Sanford

It does the job for an e-bike and a regular bike. One complaint is that I have to lower it to open the trunk to my XC 70 Volvo.

by:

The rack is well made. It carries my ebikes with no issues (both weighing about 80 pounds). The rack is very heavy. I dropped it a star because mounting it in my 1 1/4" receiver is very difficult. The tolerances are very tight and it takes several tries to get the hitch in the receiver. Once in, again very difficult to push it all the way in, lots of friction. I have used WD 40 to some benefit, but it is still a hard, tight fit. However, mounting it in a 2" receiver (with the adapter) is much easier, much less friction. Not sure why. Problem is I use the smaller hitch way more often with the smaller receiver.

I'm a senior e-biker who wishes to roll back the years, but that isn't possible. I drive a 2020 Chevy Equinox and have two electric bikes, which I had carried on a small rack. I saw the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes and resisted no longer. A few days later, my package was delivered. That night, I read and re-read the assembly instructions. It went together well, with no glitches. The hitch is super sturdy. No wiggle room at all. Once together, I loaded up my heaviest bike, mindful of using one of those metal bars for support since it's a low-step bike. (Remember, I'm a senior. Legs don't swing high like they once did.) Photos accompany them to show how she will ride. This will allow me to explore farther and go places I could not have before I had this rack. I like the ability to flatten it when not in use. This will also allow me to haul my granddaughter's bike together here in South Jersey or, as in "Toy Story," "To infinity and beyond."

How can it be a year? Time flies, and Ive had ample time to transport my bikes on this amazing rack. Once secured, the bikes travel without a wiggle. Since the rack is attached to the frame thanks to a family member who has a garage the rack is rock-solid. I highly recommend one of these to anyone with an electric bike, since they are heavier and need more support than a standard bike.

@NikonA Thanks for sharing, Nikon. The Hollywood racks are definitely solid, and we recommend them quite often for heavier E-bikes. I am glad to hear you are happy with your purchase. May it serve you well for years to come!

Love the angled stabilizer. My E-bikes feel very secure on this Hollywood Bike Rack.

by:

Great bike carrier with a very great price and was delivered super quick! I’ve only had Yakima bike carriers before, but decided to give Hollywood racks a try this time because of the good reviews and more affordable price. It didn’t take long to assemble and it’s a very well made carrier. Very pleased! And you cannot go wrong with buying from etrailer! A+

by:

This is a very well made rack. A bit heavy but thats good. Youre not snapping or bending that metal. The locking arms can be a bit tough to get locked down but work fine. I love the anti rattle u bolt, bike stays solid with very little movement on large bumps. The folding feature Is fantastic allowing easier space management for normal use. You do have only a little room for the trunk with it tilted downward but that's not a big issue as yiu can still access it. The click strap for the wheels is also a nice feature for easier securement. Only true negative with the CRV is it blocks the back up camera so you can't see well when you're close to an object. Overall I give this a 9/10.

Hitched up and ready for a ride! The anti-rattle is a big game changer is securing a bike rack. I can also agree that using a back-up camera or sensors aren't the best when there is a rack mounted but, at least you know you are off to a fun ride!

by:

Assembling the Hollywood rack on my Truck was very easy. Directions were good. I was not sure the hitch assembly was pre bent or a manufacturing problem. Confirmation was sent back to me that it was intended in the design. I’m hooking up with my buddies June 11 for a ride and will be using the rack for my Aventon EMB. I did a test run on loading it with no issues. I recommend anyone who purchases this rack to do the same. I’ll send some photos after the ride.

This bike rack is still performing as intended. The only issue I see is the hardware washer should be made from a stronger material. It becomes distorted over time.

Hello Richard. We do have an adapter, the Brophy Hitch Adapter # HT5R which may work very well for you. This will go in to the 1-1/4" receiver on your Camry and give you a 2" receiver with 5" of rise.
