It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

The hitch looks good! The hitch itself is rated to tow up to 15,000 pounds however it is limited to the frame and or bumper capacity that the hitch is welded. So if the RV is only rated to tow 11,000 pounds then that is what you would want to go by.

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

Great product. Fast delivery

by:

I called to ask what was the inside dimension of the big square and it was said to be 4 1/2" square, that wasn't even close, it was 3 5/8" square.
But I was lucky I needed 3 1/4 square. I'm modifying this to fit my fisher plow bracket so I have a front hitch to use around the yard. Nobody makes one. I own a machine shop so by getting this saves me a lot of work. So by receiving the wrong info I rating you less than EXCELLENT

by:

What a great hitch for a great price. I attached this to the rear of my Freightliner FLD-120. What a beast! The perfect hitch! Thanks

by:

Heavy duty hitch. Easily installed. However I am a welder fabricater with 30 years experience.

by:

Easy installation and after one year of heavy use, still going strong!

by:

This is a very heavy duty hitch. Haven't gotten it mounted yet, but looks to be of good quality.

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

by:

Fast shipping

by:

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

I think you guys should send me some ap parel!

by:

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

by:

Exactly what we wanted. Worked perfect on our recent, extended trip to Alaska and back.

Solid as stone!!

  • Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer With Electric Trailer Brakes Behind a 2015 Freightliner M2
You will need the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15902 for your 2015 Freightliner M2. This will allow you to weld on a receiver with up to 10.865" of drop. For the trailer lighting you will need a combination of the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 to get to a 7-way blade trailer connector. Do note the wiring to reach the battery is 25' long so if your chassis is longer you will need additional Wire # 10-2-1 to reach...

None of our hitch suppliers offers a bolt-on custom-fit trailer hitch receiver of any size for your (awesome!) 1956 Chevy 210 Townsman Station Wagon. Your one option is a universal-fit RV-type hitch, such as the Curt # 13703. Please keep in mind that you will be on your own in terms of determining proper fit. Also, since this will be an untested application your actual tongue weight and towing capacities will be unknown. The vehicle itself may have different capacities than the hitch....

Curt offers a Class IV Receiver Hitch, # C14082, that with bolt directly to your vehicle's frame with no welding required. This hitch has a 1000 pound tongue weight capacity and 10000 pound towing capacity. We do not offer a custom Class V hitch for your truck but universal Class V hitch receivers are available. • Trailer Hitch For 2013 Ford Truck With Service BOdy
For a truck with a service body like your 2013 Ford the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15902 is what you'd need as there isn't a custom fit option that fits your vehicle. You'll most likely want to take this to a welder who can weld it in place easily to the frame and then weld the brackets to the crosstube.

  • Trailer Hitch for a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with Reading Utility Body
Since you have that utility body the custom fit hitches for the 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will not work. What you will need is a weld-on hitch. I have included a link to the options for you. A hitch like # 15902 creates a drop of 10.865 inches from the truck frame. Installation should be performed by a qualified professional welder.

  • Can A Custom-Fit Front-Mounted Trailer Hitch Be Modified To Be Less Noticeable
Hi Patrick, With custom-fit trailer hitches like the Draw-Tite # 65064 you were looking at there really isn't any modifications that you can make to the hitch to have it sit further in. If you went with a weld-on hitch you could play around with it a bit more to get it sitting where you want. You will have to do a bit of measuring at first to figure out the correct drop needed though. We offer the following drop lengths: Draw-Tite 7" Drop # 41990-07 16" Drop # 41990-16 Curt 3" Drop...

We have a couple options for a heavy-duty Class V hitch, and while there is not a custom-fit option for your Thor Challenger motorhome on a Ford F-53 chassis, you can still add a weld-on hitch. From my research, the rear frame on the F-53 chassis is 34 inches from outside to outside, but you'll need to measure the distance you need from the bottom of the frame to the top of the receiver. • Hitch With 800-1000 Pound Tongue Capacity for 1997 Ford E350 Class C Motorhome
As custom bolt on hitches are not made for Class-C motor homes you will need an adjustable one. A typical Class-3 hitch will have a top tongue weight capacity of around 600 pounds. A higher class hitch will have much more capacity. Since you prefer to have 800-1000 pounds of capacity I would use the Curt # 15902 Universal Hitch with brackets and an almost 11" drop. • Is there a Class IV or V Hitch Available for a 1989 International S1600
We have 2 hitches that might work depending on the specific measurements of your 1989 International. Curt hitches 15901 and 15902 are both weld-on hitches that will fit frames from 18 inches wide to 44 inches wide. The 15901 has a 5 inch drop. The 15902 has a 13-1/2 inch drop. I am not certain if the hitch itself, being 44 inches wide, will interfere with anything else under the vehicle (seeing as it is 10 inches wider than your frame rails). So you will need to check and see if clearance...

  • Hitch For 2015 Freightliner 3500 With 30-3/8 Inch Frame
