Question:
Hi, I have a 1989 International 26 Box truck. Series S1600. The frame is 34 wide. Im looking for a trailer hitch that will fit this truck. Do you have a custom fit hitch or a weld on style that I can fabricate myself, in either a class iv or v. Any help would be great. Thanks.

We have 2 hitches that might work depending on the specific measurements of your 1989 International. Curt hitches 15901 and 15902 are both weld-on hitches that will fit frames from 18 inches wide to 44 inches wide. The 15901 has a 5 inch drop. The 15902 has a 13-1/2 inch drop. I am not certain if the hitch itself, being 44 inches wide, will interfere with anything else under the vehicle (seeing as it is 10 inches wider than your frame rails). So you will need to check and see if clearance is an issue underneath the truck. I have included a link to the instructions for these hitches below.
If you find that either of these hitches will work, be sure to clamp the side plates up with the hitch tube installed when welding. This is so the hitch is in the correct position and can be centered after welding on the side plates.
