Question:
Have a 2015 3500 freightliner 144 , purchased a Curt 13375 , when I received hitch says it will fit except if the frame measures 30 3/8 inches outside to outside of frame struts. My frame has these measurements ! What are my options , Can I just have some spacers made? Why did they make the 3500 with different dimensions! Thanks

Expert Reply:
The only possible option for your 2015 Freightliner 3500 with a 30-3/8 inch frame is a weld-on universal hitch, the Curt Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 10.865" Drop # 15902.
This has a crosstube that measures 44 inches so you need to make sure you have the space under the frame for it to fit without interference. I cannot recommend just using spacers for the Curt hitch, and I would not be able to tell you why the 3500 has different dimensions.
