Pros: the hitch arrived on time and in great shape. Cost savings over eTrailers' competitors was huge. One-man installation went exactly as expected and took less than 30 minutes with the right tools (Stanley cutting knife, 19mm (or 3/4") closed end wrench, torque wrench with 19mm extension, portable work light, and pneumatic jack which was very handy in lifting the hitch into place). The hitch slipped right into place on my 2021 RAV4 without having to jack up the car or drop the exhaust system. The hitch came with the right hardware and good instructions. Cons: the shipping box had a few holes in it from the hitch punching through, but the hitch is so sturdy there was no damage to it whatsoever. Overall, I was very impressed with this hitch from eTrailer and the entire transaction and installation could not have gone smoother.
My daughter and I completed the whole job in less than an hour, super easy to do and the video etrailer has on there website is really helpful , can’t say enough about the quality of this hitch receiver, top notch all the way, thank you so much my daughter is so happy..

Box had several holes where hitch poked through box. Some scuffing and paint worn off, but no real damage. It does fit well.
Accessory wiring package ordered with it was crushed and parts were loose in box, but no damage. Could have lost pieces. Hitch seems ok, just a little scratched where sticking through packaging. Accessories should have been taped to box in a safe location.
Installation was not bad. Next to impossible to fit in place without elevating car. Ramps make it so much easier if you don’t have a lift. If you have the patience to fit and remove before installing, you can check to see if the heat shield for the muffler needs to be bent out of the way. In my case, the center rear of the shield sits hard on the hitch. I don’t think it will rattle. Two people make it much easier.
Passenger side bolts have just enough room to fit the bolts in place. Not sure I can get a torque wrench in there without a “crowfoot” socket.
It does seem to hang down low, but there is still a little more ground clearance than the undercarriage of my 2025 Rav4 Hybrid. The top of the receiver hole is about 12-13” high on a Hybrid Rav4.

Trailer hitch is great! Had it installed by my mechanic who said it was super easy. Now have to figure out how to turn off the autobraking when the camera spots the bike rack as the abrupt stops are making my neck hurt!
Quality hitch. We had this installed, it took a shop about 40 minutes to install.
Parts were made for our 2023 Toyota RAV4 and were a perfect fit. We would buy again :-)
Installed this hitch (Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C77MJ) on a 2025 Lexus NX350 AWD. The hitch fit perfectly and looks great. This hitch will primarily be used to attach a bike rack to the car. The installation was preformed in my driveway and no helping hands, just me and a floor jack. After raising the rear of the car about 6 1/2 inches, lowering the exhaust, I sat the hitch on a floor jack and rolled it under the car. I rolled the jack forward and raised the hitch into position, installed the four bolts and conical washers, then torqued to spec. Start to finish was about 1 1/2 hours. I really like the hidden crossbar. ((Bonus)) The rear gate kick sensor still works!!!
Perfect fit and extremely easy to install. Literally 4 bolts and you’re done. Toyota RAV4 also makes it easy by placing stickers over the bolt holes so debris doesn’t get in. Just pop them off and line up the bolt holes. One man job and did it in about 30 min with a floor jack helping hold up the hitch as I lines up the holes. No need to remove exhaust. Drivers side is easy to torque but passenger has very little room to get a torque wrench and socket so a crowsfoot or extension is needed but no big issues.
Fast shipping at a great cost. Trailer hitch was easy to install at home on driveway. Did use a floor jack to lift and hold the hitch as bolts were installed.
Directions were thorough, all hardware was included and the actual installation was quick. Jack stands or a buddy are handy for hanging the hitch but the bolt holes are all there and the hitch fits first try. Those no-name hitches on the jungle site need fitment, spend the extra on Curt.
My husband and I watched the installation video a couple times, then we installed it in about 40 minutes. Once we got the car on jack stands, we used the floor jack to help support the hitch weight as we moved it into place. That was a huge help, and when we got one bolt in each side, we rocked it into place with the jack. It helped when we were trying to align those last two holes. It looks great! The fit was perfect. Our first order with e-trailer, and it was a great experience!

Shipping box was a bit beat up, but that was expected from reviews I read. A couple of scuffs on the hitch were hidden up under the car so not a problem.
Simple ordering process and hitch was delivered exactly as promised.
Excellent fit and finish. It was tricky getting the hitch up under the car, but I didn't need to lower the muffler.
All hardware was there and in perfect shape. I was able to torque the bolts with no problem-plenty of room under this particular car. The tow loop did have to be removed. The whole process took about an hour.
The hitch will be used for a bike rack. Overall very easy and an excellent product.
I've installed probably 40 hitches in my life. This was one of the easiest hitches to install, I've ever done.The hardest part was peeling off the stickers covering the threaded holes to insert bolts to 8nstall the hitch. I used a shop jack to hoist it up to right height. Piece of cake. I now need to get the wiring harness that plugs in line. Pricey I think for what it is at $72.and change.
Fit perfect and easy to install when back of vehicle raised 8” on ramps so no need or reason to drop exhaust. Hitch can be tilted to miss exhaust an put in place. Great installation video and instructions.

I bought this hitch for my 2025 Toyota Rav4 PHEV. The database on the website says this is not compatible with the PHEV but it is compatible with the 2025 Rav 4 prime, which isn’t really a thing because the prime was renamed PHEV in 2025. At any rate, I can positively confirm that it fits perfectly on the PHEV with an easy 4 bolt installation and no cutting or modification of the car needed. I put the receiver part of the hitch on a floor jack, rolled the jack under the car, and jacked it up into position to install it. Getting the bolts started on the passenger side is a challenge due to the tight quarters, and you will need a torque wrench with a 3/4” torque adapter to tighten those bolts. Otherwise, installation was easy.
Fit like a glove! After rotating the two muffler hangars out of the way, the hitch slid into place no issues and the bolts fit perfect! Snugged everything down as directed with a torque wrench and away we go. I like the gloss powder coat finish and the way it mounts flush to the bumper - no more impaling my shin every time I walked around the back of the car. Thanks for a truly great product!
Arrived quickly. THe hitch was sticking out of the box in a few spots but no damage. It aas fairly easy to install but required a 19mm box wrench for my 2023 Toyota Venza. There is very little space on the passenger side and the rachet/torque wrench would not fit. I am only using it for a small cargo carrier but it seems sturdy enough for a small trailer.
Great product, but what was important was the multiple videos and advice from e-trailer about the install. A recommendation: It’s great that the video shows the car up on a lift. The video is cleaner that way and can show more BUT it does not show what a DIY home installer needs to do to get the car up and the hassle that working from the ground imposes. Thanks!
Fit perfectly. Challenging to hold in place while threading the bolts - ended up lying on my back , pushing the bar up into position like a bench press, then holding it in place with my legs/ feet , and sliding the screws in with my fingers when i had the holes lined up. I imagine there are easier ways to do it. An hour after i started, i was done with the hitch and watching the video on the wire harness. Result looks great and maybe only losing a little clearance- like an inch below muffler on rav4.

Delivered as promised. Box was damaged by the receiver, but no damage to the receiver itself. At first, I thought the bolts were missing, but they were inside the hitch tube. There was one very sharp burr on the welding which I was able to cut off with metal snips, other than that the welding and paint job is very good. I haven't installed it yet, it's a Christmas present, so I'll have to see how that goes. The nuts for the bolts are supposed to be already welded on the car's frame so if that is true it shouldn't be too bad.

Glad to hear the hitch got to you in one piece even though there was damage to the shipping box. Before you go to install the hitch, make sure you clean out the holes on the car with a wire brush, even if the car is brand new it can have welds in there from the factory. That is my pointer to make the install go more smoothly. What do you plan on using the hitch for Edward?
The web page was very informative with the instructional videos. It made it very clear that it was the correct fit for my car. The shipping and delivery was really fast, actually a couple days sooner than I expected. I am very pleased with the process.

This hitch interferes with the auto deck kick feature as well as emergency braking on back up so I was forced to return this hitch and order a Toyota hitch
Ric was great and worked hard to find my accessories and was very engaged in his job
Great hitch, poor shipping. Now I have to refinish the 2" box damaged by exposure to outside surfaces.
Fit perfect. Easy Install. Seems quality built. Shipping was also very fast. 5 Stars!
