Excellent hitch and installation video
Trailer hitch looks good. The box was really damaged in transport. It had a very large hole in the side. We checked the hitch and didn't show any damage. The attachments were securely attached.
A friend installed it and sounds like it was very straightforward and under two hours. Looks great!
At 72 years old I expected trouble installing by myself. Without jacking up Outback, and using a couple of blocks to steady outer brackets, I installed hitch in about 2 hours. I spent more time searching for my tools than doing installation.
The install instructions and pictures are much better for the draw-tite hitch which mounts in exactly the same way. The Curt only includes two wires to pull the plates and screws where the draw-tite gives you all four. The nuts are barely wider than the holes in the hitch and if not perfectly aligned will slip off the edge of the hole Draw-tite provides wider washers between the nut and hitch. If I had realized these issues before ordering I would have ordered the draw-tite even though it was not guaranteed to fit my year Outback
Video was very helpful. It would have been better if you included 4 of those spring bolt cables instead of 2.
I manage a fleet with several Subaru Outbacks. This hitch fits them well and is easy to install.
Excellent product
Products look well made and durable but I have not installed the hitch yet. Your speed on getting them here was noteworthy. I must comment on your shipping packaging. Both packages arrived with several tears and punctures on multiple sides. A regular occurrence according to the UPS driver as he struggled to wrestle the box to the door. The problem seemed pretty obvious to me. You package a heavy, unbalanced weight in a box that is way oversized. The off center weight shifts and moves in transit every time it is handled. The larger box also makes it harder for those who have to move the box manually, UPS personal and the consumer.

Just finished the install. Online video was very helpful. No drilling or grinding required. The bolt heads barely fit through the frame holes. Getting the rubber exhaust supports back on took some work, but happy with the hitch!
Love the simple install and the way this hitch looks - almost hidden. Always had good luck with Curt products from ETrailer.

The Curt #C69VV is a great Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2025 Subaru Outback. I had the same Hitch Receiver on a 2019 Outback and was not disappointed, decided to purchase again as I liked its features. After getting the rear of Outback moved onto Rhino ramps I installed the hitch by using a movmovable floor jack. To keep the hitch balanced on the end of the lift arm of the floor jack I added the ball mount to the hitch, also an additional small weight. The balanced hitch on the jack allowed me to easily lift and move it into place and install properly.
The Curt Class 111 trailer hitch that I purchased fit perfectly on my Subaru Outback Onyx. The installation was straight forward, but it took me about an hour and a half to install because I installed it alone, so holding up the hitch myself in order to bolt it in took a bit of time. Otherwise, the hitch looks great on my Outback, and eTrailer sent it to me very promptly!! I have ordered from eTrailer multiple times and they always send the product to me quickly and safely! I will definitely keep purchasing from eTrailer!
Heavy duty no doubt of coarse things always go wrong but easy fixes. Really like the product, 2nd one I have bought over several years from e trailer. Always delivered on time and in great.

Install was good. Video instructions on the web page were better than the instruction that came with the hitch, but install was good.
Good hitch for the money and fairly easy to install. I would give it 5 stars but for the fact that Curt only provides two fish wires when FOUR are required. This is just common sense and clearly shown in eTrailer's instructional video. Luckily, I had some light wire to make my own or it no doubt would have gone badly.
Went on better than even the video indicated! The bolts fit through the holes without having to drill. Fishing all them in was super easy! Would highly recommend just taking the mufflers off completely. I have a 2025 OB Wilderness, so two mufflers. It adds an extra step, but the open space doing this is glorious and worth it. I highly recommend this hitch. This is my second purchase and etrailer is super easy to order from. Shipping was on time and everything was in the box ready to go!
This style hitch is rated 5/10 difficulty vs the end frame attach model is rated 10/10 difficulty, since that one requires removing the bumper paneling. The Curt install paperwork and e-trailer video for this one both mention the fact that it will be more difficult to install on an Outback trim with twin mufflers. This is an understatement. The twin mufflers are shaped like a Y and the hitch runs parallel. It is impossible to install without temporarily removing one of the mufflers. We chose the driver side one. Then the hitch wedges up squeezing the rubber muffler hangers, so it takes a good bit of WD-40 to squeeze them back in place. 10/10 difficulty for sure to install with dual mufflers. But the hitch is very solid after installation.
Perfect fit to my 2025 Outback. I use it primarily with my Thule bicycle rack, but it's nice to know I have it if I need it for towing.
Ordering as easy, I got a follow up email from a representative shortly after, and my hitch arrived a couple days later. My son and I installed it the next day, took less than 2 hours. Since my car has only one muffler, we removed it completely from the tailpipe to allow better access. Fishing the bolts through went way better than I expected, they dropped right into place. We did use a floor jack to help lift the hitch up. Very happy with the process and the product.
Etrailer service is excellent as always. Product fit perfectly. I only wish the manufacturer provided four of the wire bolt guides.
