Question:

Hi! I have a 2022 Subaru outback wagon. I see there is a lot of options for a hitch. Looks like the main difference is how much of the hitch is showing and install time. Also towing capacity. Im just going to be hauling a couple bikes, wondering what you would recommend? I have 18 years of technician experience, so a more difficult install doesnt worry me at all. Thanks!

Hey Wes. The best hitch for a bike rack on your 2022 Subaru Outback is the Curt item # C67JR. This class III 2" hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. I really like this hitch because it mounts behind your rear bumper and not underneath your car. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.

The Curt Hitch item # C67JR has a 350 lbs tongue weight capacity and the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper is 3". Additionally, we measured the height of the inside top of the receiver and it is 16" above the ground. This hitch will work great with a bike rack.
