Highlights

  • Get Your Bike Off the Floor Without Frame Contact: Front-wheel hold keeps your frame clear, so you can store it without clamps or pressure on your paint.
  • Protect Your Rim While It's Hanging: Patented third-point contact keeps the wheel centered to help prevent rim contact with the sides.
  • Swing It Left or Right to Save Space: Pivoting design lets the rack and bike swivel side to side so you can tuck it closer to the wall.
  • Keep Your Wall Cleaner: Rear wheel holder helps keep tires from leaving marks on the wall.

Features to know about

The Third Contact Point That Helps Protect Your Wheel

Swagman Stow It Three-Point Contact to protect your wheels.

Some wheel-hanging racks can let your wheel drift and press against the sides, which is where scuffs and rim dings can happen over time. The Stow It uses a patented third point of contact that keeps the front wheel centered, helping it hang straight and avoiding side contact while it is stored.

Multiple Racks Function Like a Display Rack

Swagman Stow It makes it easy to store multiple bikes.

Instead of trying to squeeze past handlebars or lifting your bikes to store them, grab a few of these racks and stagger your bikes like a display. The pivoting arm is especially useful because it's easy to hang them, tuck them close to the wall, and swing each one out for access. Your garage will look intentionally organized and you'll be able to pull your selected bike out without getting it tangled in the others.

Video Transcript for Breakdown of the Swagman Stow It Storage Rack

Today we're taking a look at the Swagman Stow It. This is a wall-mounted bike mount, a great way to stow away your bikes up against your wall in your garage or in your shed. You have adjustability with this mount for bikes of different shapes and sizes, whether you have smaller tires or larger 29ers like what I have here. But the best thing is definitely gonna be the way this swings out up against the wall. So if you have multiple bikes, this is something that could be especially helpful because instead of having all those bikes taking up all that room in your garage, you just stack them up side by side up against your wall, much less space taken up, and that way you can hold onto more bikes. And when you install this onto your wall, that's when you can adjust or customize to the length of specific bikes.

So I recommend, if you have bikes of different shapes and sizes or different lengths, definitely plan ahead of time. That way you can have a specific mount per bike. If you're curious about how I got this installed, stick around. You're first gonna need your bike to take some measurements, and I just grab a marker to measure where we need to drill our holes. Bring your bike up against the wall and that will help you figure out, from the length of your bike, where your top drill holes are going to be.

And your instructions are gonna have suggestions based off of the wheel size. For example, for our 29ers here, we're gonna go from the top of the bike length, and then we're gonna go down two inches for our first hole. Make your mark and drill your pilot hole. (tool whirring) That hole will line up with the top hole of your mount. So bring that up there, make sure it fits, line it up, and screw it in with your included screw.

(tool whirring) Then make sure that our mount is vertical all the way down, and then I'm gonna go and proceed to drill out more holes and secure it with all four screws. (tool whirring) Once you have it secured, then go ahead and bring the hook down so that you can rest your top wheel right on it. Just like that. And then now that this is in place, this right here is where you're gonna put the rear wheel stopper. So you're gonna line it up to the bottom part of the wheel.

That stop, this can go on either side. And then you're gonna drill some holes there and screw it down with your last two screws. (tool whirring) And now your bike mount is all set up. Now this was pretty easy since we are just drilling into wood. Now, if you had stone, concrete, or drywall, you'll have slightly different methods of installation to anchor all those screws. And when you're ready to load your bike up, you just bring down that hoop, lift up on the seat and just roll this into place. This is a look at the Swagman Stow It right here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline, and I hope you enjoyed this journey.
