The hitch with the highest capacity for the 2024 Subaru Outback is the Draw-Tite item # DT73RR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up. Please note that the capacity of the hitch may be higher than the capacity of your car. You will want to verify what your Subaru's capacity is and go off of whatever number is lower.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56040 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
