Features to know about

Haul What You Need Every Day: Class III Strength in a Compact Design

With a 3,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 350-lb maximum tongue weight, this Class III 2" receiver gives you the capability to tow small trailers, haul camping gear, or carry bikes without overloading your setup. When paired with a weight distribution hitch, capacities increase to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW, giving you extra stability for heavier loads. It’s a solid choice for towing and for carrying hitch-mounted accessories like cargo trays or bike racks.

Simplify the Job: Bolt-On Installation With Included Hardware

You don’t need welding or fabrication to mount this hitch. The fully welded receiver bolts directly to the frame using factory holes, and the complete hardware kit and instructions are already in the box. That means you can handle the install in your own driveway with basic tools and still get precision alignment and a tight fit once everything’s torqued down.

Built to Last Through Weather and Road Debris: Gloss Black Powder Coat Over Protective Base

The steel construction is protected inside and out with a gloss black powder coat layered over a corrosion-resistant base. That double coating helps prevent rust from road salt and moisture while keeping the hitch looking clean season after season. It’s tough enough for daily driving, hauling gear on long trips, or weekend towing without worrying about chips or corrosion eating into the metal.

Keep It Versatile: Standard 2" Receiver Ready for Your Accessories

Most bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts are built for a 2" receiver, so you can hook up your existing gear without adapters. Whether you’re pulling a small trailer one day or mounting a storage basket or rack the next, this hitch gives you the flexibility to swap setups fast and keep your vehicle ready for whatever you’re hauling next.

Your packaging of the product for shipment definitely needs improvement. This is the 2nd hitch we have ordered from etrailer and they both arrived with the box torn open with scratches on the hitches. Other than the poor packing of the hitch, the hitch is great and looks great on our 2023 Toyota Sienna LE. Super simple to install and works great for my Thule bike rack. Your videos on installation are so nice to refer to when installing the hitch. Thank you!

by:

Great experience. Easy to find the right hitch on etrailer, easy checkout, good comms on shipping status. Arrived in good shape - minor damage to box to be expected for a heavy item. etrailer install video was detailed and super helpful on how to install. Just followed the video instructions, less than an hour for a retired senior working alone to install.

by:

2024 Sienna XLE install. Great product. Fits snugly. Does not hang below other parts of the undercarriage chassis. Relatively easy install by myself, using box to support opposite side. Trimmed panel fit perfectly. Best part is it maintains the foot auto rear hatch function. Instruction video perfect!i. Used Tekonsha wiring 118824 and worked slick. Attached relay box with small matchine screw above small cover (see photo) which allows access (if ever needed) to the fuse without pulling side panes off again. Routed trailer wiring out bottom of panel so it stores in the existing side pocket. This is my third hitch from Etrailer. All went in easily!!

by:

Bolted up easily and shipping was fast. First review I’ve written for etrailer. I have purchased things from them in the past and they’ve always done me right. Would recommend.

Congrats on the first review Luke, we appreciate your kind words! What are you mainly going to use the hitch for?

by:

Order was received timely in a sealed box with mounting hardware. However, I haven’t had time to install at this point.

by:

Works well. Easy to install. I wish the overall height was smaller but they are all the same for a Sienna

by:

Easy to install. It does its job. What else can I say? No rust after 1 year.

by:

Thank you, customer service and response are excellent. The wiring is not four (4) feet. I cut off the van's female connector to splice the wires. I'm not sure why the wiring harness does not include the male connector as shown in the video.

by:

The box was open and damaged enroute. Thankfully the hitch was not damaged.

by:

I installed this on a 2025 Sienna Woodland. I removed the factory 1-1/4” hitch to install this one because I don’t have anything that uses 1-1/4” hitch.

The Bad:
The box was damaged pretty heavily when I received it, there were deep gouges on some parts of hitch receiver. While installing 2 of the bolt holes (the holes closest to the front of the vehicle on the driver and passenger side) were about 1/2” too narrow. I confirmed this by measuring the distance between the holes and comparing them with the factory hitch that I took off the vehicle. The factory hitch fit perfectly with no struggle. I was able to get the hitch installed by bending the farthest forwards parts outwards just enough to get the bolts in. The install ending up taking 2 hours due to this. Without difficulty it would’ve been about 45 minutes, including the time it took to take off the factory hitch. The hitch hangs about 1” lower than the factory hitch and 2” lower than the exhaust tip, which is the lowest part in the back, reducing the clearance of an already low vehicle.

The good:
etrailer offered a $20 discount for the condition of the hitch I received, which brought the price down to $188. Once the hitch was (finally) on it looks good on the vehicle, the factory hitch was chunky and odd looking. I didn’t have to trim any parts of the vehicle for it to fit, everything was bolt on. I didn’t even have to jack up the vehicle. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The hitch is overbuilt and has a 5000lb rating, which is more than the 3500lb rating of the Sienna, while also being significantly lighter than the factory hitch. The factory hitch weighs 78lbs and the curt hitch weighs 38lbs. The 2” receiver is more useful than the 1-1/4” receiver on the factory hitch.

I gave this hitch 4 stars because of the difficulty of the install and because it hangs pretty low. The condition of the hitch upon receipt was offset by the already low price and the discount offered by etrailer. Although, it is possible the holes didn’t line up due to damage to the hitch at the wharehouse or shipping.

by:

Great hitch though slight inconvenience with it. Installed to replace factory hitch. Factory hitch has mounts for clean wiring harness placement and this hitch does not. Other than that super easy installation, very happy with it though would be happier if there were mounts for clean wire harness placement.

by:

First off, excellent product and excellent customer service.

I bought a hitch receiver for my last Sienna for a bike rack and was happy with it so shopped here again. I have a 2021 Toyota Sienna Platinum trim, and this year is the first of this generation meaning the old hitch also needed a reboot. This one is easier to install than the last one I got that was almost completely hidden except for the actual receiver. With the new Sienna design the geometry makes this impossible so you see the structural bars connecting it to the van. You just need to take the driver's side panel off and trim it a bit before putting it back on over the hitch.

The bottom of the hitch sits 9-10 inches from the ground which is low but hey, it's a minivan and looking at the underside I don't think it could sit much higher anyway. I got a Meyer 4" drop/rise hitch extension to raise that by 4" which is works great. I did have to use a hacksaw and grindstone drill attachment to trim a corner off so it fit, then spray painted it, but I preferred that to getting one that stuck out even further since any extension is going to add to how far it sticks out the back. I got the this 5-bike Allen rack to go with it, it seemed to be one that again kept the bikes (and therefore the center of gravity) closer to the van compared to others. You also have to buy a 5/8" pin to secure the adapter. I made sure the pin and rack both had locking mechanisms on them to prevent theft.

Overall very happy with the hitch. It's sturdy and simple to install. Its 2" size makes it strong enough to do anything you want to do with it. Do NOT get the Toyota factory hitch- everyone at the dealership though it was a 2" hitch but it is indeed a 1-1/4" and an eyesore. This one looks nice and I would do the whole process over again. Trimming the adapter was the hard part, but it seemed to be the best option for keeping everything from sticking out too far.

by:

Decent hitch and installation is easy. I will be going with the more expensive hitch in the bumper soon as this hitch drags the ground both with and without a trailer. The issue seems to be the ride height in the van is not tall enough to avoid this without additional modifications where the hitch mounted in the bumper cover would not have this issue.

by:

The hitch and wiring harness were delivered in 3 days. Both were quality products and easy to install after watching the videos provided by etrailer.

by:

The installation instructions and video from etrailer made this easy. Well constructed. No complaints, only a satisfied customer

It is still going strong! Absolutely no complaints

by:

Excellent quality. This is the second hitch we purchased from Curt. They’re durable, and installation’s a breeze. In total, from start to clean up, the time was 75 minutes - and I was taking my time. I installed this on our ‘22 Toyota Sienna XSE, and although the receiver is directly underneath the kick sensor which automatically opens the rear hatch, it did not preclude us from still being able to activate it. This was a concern of mine since both hands are usually full. It’s held up just fine over the past year, primarily lugging around our 4-bike Thule rack.

This is our third purchase from etrailer.com - two hitch receivers (2016 Sienna & 2024 Sienna) and one bike rack. Both hitch receivers were been easy to install and adding the Thule Apex XT Bike Rack has made hauling our 4 bikes on trips much more enjoyable.

by:

Perfect fit for our new 2025 Sienna.. Don’t go with the smaller hitch offered by the dealer, get this one for more options— towing, bike racks and cargo carriers.

Great. I went with the 2” receiver for a couple of reasons- one was the many devices that are used with the larger hitch and most importantly, a recovery point on the Sienna. Most new vehicles today are expensive plastic front and rear. Not a fan of using a tire for recovery. Your company should mention that as a sales tool.

by:

Arrived in a box!! Ordered 2 from Amazon and both delivered damaged without a box, causing me to spend more time returning 2 of them. I should have bought the hitch from etrailer to begin with. Will order from here again in the future. Well done.

Glad you found us! What do you plan on using the hitch for?

by:

This hitch was put installed on a 2022 Toyota Sienna AWD. It hangs low so I scrape a lot going over bumps and angled driveways. I've had other hitches in the past and they didn't scrape.

by:

Would not recommend. Hitch sits way lower than competitors. Very worried its going to bottom out. Other than that it was easy to install.
