What is the Best Hitch for a 2026 Toyota Sienna?

Updated 03/05/2026 | Published 01/08/2026

Question:

Good morning. I just picked up a 2026 Toyota Sienna and was unable to get a model with a factory hitch. I see you have a couple of options that are similar. I would like a recommendation on which hitch you think would be the best overall option. Thank you

Good morning to you as well Steve, and congrats on your new van! I would be more than happy to make a recommendation for you!

The best hitch for your 2026 Toyota Sienna, is going to be our etrailer item # e56RR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight, so it's got to be great for towing a small trailer or hauling an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier.

I have attached a couple of pictures below along with an installation video we did on our etrailer item # e56RR so you can get an idea of what this hitch will look like once it's installed.

What do you plan on using your new hitch for?

Thank you so much! I plan on using a hitch for a cargo carrier and just to have the option to tow a small trailer from uhaul if I need to move something.

@Steve You're welcome! The etrailer Hitch item # e56RR is going to be perfect then! Uhaul trailers require a 4-way connector to control the lighting functions. You'll also want to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C53VV on your Sienna. You'll also need the etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball item # e38NR.

I added the hitch and used it for our 2 ebikes (around 160 lbs). It was good for the purpose But, with the Sienna sitting as low as it is, the tongue weight can really drag you down with some trailers. On our former Sienna, where we towed a pop up tent trailer regularly, I added air bags to handle the issue.
