When you’re pulling serious weight, you need a hitch that won’t back down. The Curt Class V Commercial Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the muscle to handle up to 18,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 2,700 lbs tongue weight. Even when used with a weight distribution setup, it holds the same 18,000 lbs GTW and 2,700 lbs TW capacity. The sturdy square-tube design and precision robotic welding keep everything tight and aligned under load for dependable towing every time.
This hitch is made for a straightforward install—no welding required. It bolts directly to the frame using the included hardware kit and instructions. Anyone comfortable with basic tools can get it mounted securely without special equipment. Once installed, the cross tube lines up cleanly under the rear so you can attach your ball mount, pin, and clip (sold separately) and get right to work.
The fully welded steel construction is finished with a protective base coat and durable black powder coat that resists corrosion and wear. That extra layer of protection helps keep rust at bay even after years of towing in wet or salty conditions. It’s a hitch built to stay solid and look sharp through every haul.

Well made. Easy to install. Bolted up with no drilling. I thought it was going to hang too low from looking at the pictures but it's only about half inch lower than the factory hitch.
I almost didn't buy it from the reviews saying it hangs lower than the oem one. I'm very happy I did, its a nice hitch. Yeah it hangs a little lower but it's negligible cant even tell. Buy it....
Install went well very happy with product, electrical receptacle bracket needed a little modifyingBy pulling the bracket out word and changing the angle had to trim a little plastic off the bumper

the overall quality of the product seems fine, however the hitch hangs down 3.5 inches lower then the factory hitch. Its so low that I'll be dragging it on the ground when I'm gathering wood. I will also have to buy all new hitches because of how low it hangs.

This hitch receiver is built very well and bolted right up to the frame. Should be able to tow my 38' toy hauler with no issues with this thing. Just wished they provided the most rearward bolts and nuts if you have an off road bumper that doesn't require the bottom rear bolts for a stock bumper. It's also pretty heavy, definitely a two man job. All in all, great receiver.
This is one duty receiver. One piece hitch with all hardware included. I installed in my driveway in 25minutes with only basic tools needed. Hangs about 4" lower than stock receiver but eliminated Need for drop hitch

Great hitch and perfect fit for my truck. Was really a 2 man job but got it done by myself. The factory hitch is kind of a pain to get off on the 2008 HD as there are bolts up right at the bumper line.
The new one fit like a glove i did add to shackles to allow my safety chains to attach a little easier. Great product great customer service. etrailer is the best i love these guys have bought lots of stuff from them and will definitely continue to buy more. Thanks
When I discovered that my factory installed hitch was only rated for 7500lbs I knew I needed something different. Etrailer came through again. This hitch is exactly what i needed. My camper has a GVW of 12K and i have the weight distribution hitch. Easy to install and the 4" drop just what i needed to lower my bumper also.
I bought this hitch receiver about a year ago and it has help up with no issues. I have a 14k dump trailer and use it 3 days week on average. I have had occasions where I was marked out on weight and Kurt came thru and have no signs of bending bowing ect. Very satisfied I must say

Works great, wish it came with a way to mount the trailer harness plug to it. But I was able to put something together to make it work.
The trailer hitch is a super heavy duty trailer hitch. The only problem with the trailer hitches is very heavy to install underneath of the truck. I have a truck with a 10 inch drop bumper they was after market and they research the trailer hitch and said it would fit and it fits great love the trailer hitch installation had all the right Hardware all grade 8 bolts nothing cheap about it love it

Been using for a year the hitch is great.the paint is still in gear condition no peeling,or rusting.the hitch has handled everything I have hooked to it .
At first glance did not think it would fit,
I was wrong, holes lined up exactly, to my 2009 GMC 2500 HD pick-up truck, the hitch is a beast, very thick metal and well built, way way better than the factory hitch the truck came with , really pleased with the quality and the ease of installation.
Bolted in place of the original factory hitch no issues. This is a lot heavier built. Hangs just a little lower than the factory hitch, maybe half an inch.
It’s always great ordering with etrailer. I get the right parts fast!

Glad we could help, Brandon! What are you typically towing? Hopefully that slight drop in height isn't affecting things too much.
The hitch fitted up great!Could used longer strap on front mount holes, holes in frame are larger than bolts. Installed less than a hour by myself. Will be using it for towing grain wagons.
