Better late than never. The new hitch looks great on your truck, Ryan!

by:
2002 Chevrolet Silverado

the overall quality of the product seems fine, however the hitch hangs down 3.5 inches lower then the factory hitch. Its so low that I'll be dragging it on the ground when I'm gathering wood. I will also have to buy all new hitches because of how low it hangs.

by:

This has been the 1st hitch I have bought new, the old one the receiver was stuck in it. My good freind told me about your site and what a great site. This hitch has fit my needs and held up well in our mixture of michigan weather

by:
2009 Chevrolet Silverado

Trailer might want to find another shipper no damage to my hitch but the box look like it had a rough journey

by:

The trailer hitch is a super heavy duty trailer hitch. The only problem with the trailer hitches is very heavy to install underneath of the truck. I have a truck with a 10 inch drop bumper they was after market and they research the trailer hitch and said it would fit and it fits great love the trailer hitch installation had all the right Hardware all grade 8 bolts nothing cheap about it love it

Been using for a year the hitch is great.the paint is still in gear condition no peeling,or rusting.the hitch has handled everything I have hooked to it .

Easy Easy Easy! Great Stought Tough Hitch! Working out Great!

by:

I was rear ended and my previous hitch damaged. Fit my 04 Silverado 2500 4WD HD perfectly. A bit lower than the previous one, retained the stock bumper. Now I can tongue pull with a 2 5/16ths ball where I was limited to a 2". Can still pull a 2" with the stock bumper. A good value.

by:

I bought this hitch receiver about a year ago and it has help up with no issues. I have a 14k dump trailer and use it 3 days week on average. I have had occasions where I was marked out on weight and Kurt came thru and have no signs of bending bowing ect. Very satisfied I must say

by:

Great product.

by:

Great hitch and perfect fit for my truck. Was really a 2 man job but got it done by myself. The factory hitch is kind of a pain to get off on the 2008 HD as there are bolts up right at the bumper line.

The new one fit like a glove i did add to shackles to allow my safety chains to attach a little easier. Great product great customer service. etrailer is the best i love these guys have bought lots of stuff from them and will definitely continue to buy more. Thanks

THE BEST SERVICE BY FAR!!!!!
I went through
3 different companies before contacting etrailer, they was very patient with me and went over everything to make sure the order was right.
I ordered it and asked for quick shipping, something almost no one offers on parts like this and BUT they have 4 DAY SHIPPING for only around $40, you can’t beat that!!! I ordered it Thursday, they said it will be here Thursday or Friday of the following week and it was here the following Tuesday!!!
Very quick and easy install.
I have 3 Curt Class V Hitches by the way.
one on the Chevrolet,Ford and Ram.

Thanks again for the Great service, y’all have a permanent customer.

AND THEY GIVE YOU STEP BY STEP DELIVERY PROGRESS!!!

2021 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack TT Toy Hauler

This hitch receiver is built very well and bolted right up to the frame. Should be able to tow my 38' toy hauler with no issues with this thing. Just wished they provided the most rearward bolts and nuts if you have an off road bumper that doesn't require the bottom rear bolts for a stock bumper. It's also pretty heavy, definitely a two man job. All in all, great receiver.

by:

This is one duty receiver. One piece hitch with all hardware included. I installed in my driveway in 25minutes with only basic tools needed. Hangs about 4" lower than stock receiver but eliminated Need for drop hitch

by:

So far it is great!

by:

I almost didn't buy it from the reviews saying it hangs lower than the oem one. I'm very happy I did, its a nice hitch. Yeah it hangs a little lower but it's negligible cant even tell. Buy it....

by:

Install went well very happy with product, electrical receptacle bracket needed a little modifyingBy pulling the bracket out word and changing the angle had to trim a little plastic off the bumper

by:

I got what I paid for and not a penny l ess

by:

Very happy with this hitch. Finish has held up well and is a very beefy addition to my 03'Duramax. Allows me to tow my heavy trailers without fear of breaking my factory hitch again (twice now).
Fairly easy to install as well.

by:
2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Great affordable hitch. Very easy to install. I installed it in about 30 minutes even without removing the spare tire. 05 3500 Silverado

by:

Well made. Easy to install. Bolted up with no drilling. I thought it was going to hang too low from looking at the pictures but it's only about half inch lower than the factory hitch.

by:

Easy installation and looks great, can definitely tell it’s heavy duty!

2006 Chevrolet Silverado

I was somewhat hummored with the recent review email, of my Class 5 Curt hitch.
I have a flat bed trailer I use to haul my old farm tractors. This trailer is about 4,600 empty.
And it has 3/8 safety chains. With big open hooks.
These hooks only fit part way into my factory Chevy hitch. But I got by.
Now comes the new hitch. And I haven't had the opportunity to try those hooks on the new hitch.
But I am sure for the size of the holes, they will fit nicely.

Now comes another scenario. I also have a 12 foot single axle Doolittle trailer.
And those safety chain hooks are stamped 1/4 inch. And they have the safety latch.
There is no way they will fit that class 5 hitch.
I went back to the store and bought a pair of 5/16 hooks with the latch.
Yes they did fit, but you had to fight with them.
So I took them back, and bought a pair of 5/16 hooks without the safety latch.
Truly I think, - going to 3/8 hook would be the answer for a nice fit.
And I think the cross pin in the hook, would fit my last chain link.

But should I lend the trailer to a neighbor. I am thinking 3/8 hooks likely won't fit their hitch.
As the original problem with my factory Chevy hitch, and the hooks on my big trailer.
I also have a Featherlite bumper pull livestock trailer.
And I am not sure what the diameter of those hooks are.

Diameter, as in the center hole of the hook.
Not referring to the chain link diameter the hook is rated for.

Likely Curt should have a piece of round stock for those hooks to go around?

If you take a 1/4 inch hook, a 5/16 hook and a 3/8 hook. And a class 5 drawbar. you will experience my senario. That a Class 5 hitch likely won't accept the safety chain hooks of a small trailer.

by:

Dealing with etrailer was a breeze! Nice well built receiver hitch, heavy duty. Took less than half an hour to install including removing the old hitch. I will definitely recommend etrailer.com.

If you have the factory hitch you need the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL86FV. If you have an aftermarket hitch you need the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL99NR. You will also need turnbuckles...
