Question:
Does this hitch matter if my 2004 Silverado 2500 hd duramax is short bed or long bed , someone said it matters

Hey Dan,
Yes, there's actually a few different factors here to determine the correct fit for your Silverado. The Curt # C15400 you referenced is designed to fit 3500 cab and chassis models so it unfortunately wouldn't be a fit. If you have a 6-1/2' or 8' bed with the standard factory bumper you could install the Curt # C15703. If you have the 10" deep drop rear bumper and an 8' bed then you'll need the Curt # C15313 instead.

Hey Dan, how did things turn out with the hitch for your Silverado? Did one of the Curt options end up fitting your bed and bumper setup? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same question.
