Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. And if your truck has a 5th wheel hitch installed, you can use the included self-drilling screws instead of the u-bolts to install the air spring kit. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

This is wonderful. Has performed perfectly. I see no need for auto leveling or an onboard air compressor for my use. Just put some in when I’m hauling heavy. I will say the Silverado parking brake relocation bracket could use some more engineering. I had a hell of a time getting the bolt in.

  • Will the Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Fit a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with Hellwig Sway Bar
Yes, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338 will fit a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar. The anti-sway bars aren't installed in a way that would interfere with a suspension enhancement such as air bags.

  • Can Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Be Installed on Silverado without Bump Stop Cups
I reached out to my contact at Air Lift regarding the LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57338 for your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500. She said the factory jounce bumper cups on the truck do provide kind of a backup support for the air bag brackets, so it's not recommended to install this system without those cups in place. She said you can simply have these welded back on (a couple of tack welds will be just fine) and then the setup will work perfectly. As you probably already saw, this...

  • Is Drilling Required To Install Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 - Rear Axle # AL57338 in a 2012 Silverado
This is a two-fold answer. If you have a 5th wheel installed in your truck, then to add the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL57338 then you are required to drill two 5/16 inch holes for your air lines because the U-bolts will not work. If you do not have a 5th wheel installed, then there is no drilling involved in the installation of this unit. I have attached the installation instructions for you to review and how they apply to your truck.

  • How to Determine How Much Air Pressure is Needed with Suspension Enhancement Towing Trailer
Determining the correct amount of air pressure you should put in bags like the Air Lift kit part # AL57338 isn't an exact science but the goal is to provide the support you need while balancing ride quality as too much pressure makes the ride quality pretty rough. The best way we've found is to inflate the bags to the point where the rear suspension sits very near level like it was without the weight of a trailer. I'd also recommend experimenting with raising and lower the pressure till...

The Air Lift Rear Axle Suspension Kit # AL57338 that you referenced will fit both 2WD and 4WD versions of the 2012 Silverado 2500 HD. However, it is not unusual to find fit complications when multiple aftermarket items are installed on a vehicle. All manufacturers design their products with the assumption that they will be installed on a stock vehicle, and they do not test their products with those from other aftermarket manufacturers. • Loadlifter 5000 Leaking On Both Sides
The air is going somewhere. If you checked all the connections on the LoadLifter 5000 # AL57338 and they're not leaking, you must have a pinched line or cracked air bag. Next step you will need to do the same process with the soap water and find out which line is pinched and or if the bags are cracked and leaking. If you cannot find the leak and the problem persists, I would just go ahead and replace the components.

To determine the correct spacers in for your GMC Sierra with a 4-1/2" lift and Air Lift 5000 Air Helper Springs such as # AL57338 you wll need to do a bit of measuring. There is a diagram I added from Air Lift what you will need to measure to ensure the correct spacer kit. That will give you the correct lift spacer, which...

If you find yourself constantly towing year-round then the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538 is what I recommend for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. I would also recommend these higher rated air bags for trailers with a heavier pin weight like yours. • Can an Air Bag Compressor System be Wired to an Upfitter Switch on a 2016 Ford F-250
The upfitter switch on your truck would have to be one that is not currently being used. A 2-position switch can be used to power on the compressor to add air and then switched off once the desired psi is reached. If you wire it up to the upfitter switch I recommend using an analog compressor system that is more set up for that type of switch such as # AL25592. That way you can still have a way to purge out the air pneumatically rather than trying to make it work with a switch. This is...

If the lift spacer just raised the body of the truck then you wouldn't need to use any spacers. The # AL57338 is a fit fo ryour 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 as well.
