This hitch opens the door to light-duty towing and everyday hauling. With a 2,000 lb maximum gross trailer weight and 200 lb maximum tongue weight, it’s built for small trailers, cargo carriers, and bike racks. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver gives you access to a wide range of Class I accessories, so you can bring along gear without overloading your vehicle.
The hitch body is made from welded steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat layered over a protective base coat. That combination holds up well against rust and road wear while keeping its clean look. The round-tube design adds a bit of style under the bumper while staying strong enough for the rated load.
You don’t need to weld or drill to get this hitch in place. It lines up with existing mounting points for a straightforward bolt-on install using the hardware that comes in the box. The precision robotic welding helps everything fit where it should, making setup easier for a driveway installation with basic tools.
Once installed, you can add a compatible bike rack, cargo basket, or drawbar (sold separately) to handle weekend trips or light work tasks. The sturdy fit and consistent alignment mean you can count on it every time you load up—without worrying about flex or shifting under normal use.

I wish the included instructions weren’t so blurry
Hitch arrived in undamaged box a day early. The hitch looked like someone had attempted to install it, the paint was in especially bad condition and there were grind marks on the plate next to the muffler location. After painting I found a spacer would be needed at the rear muffler mount, which I needed to fabricate with no mention in the instructions. The hitch is good quality, just disappointed in the condition.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. There is a washer nut that is removed to allow the exhaust hanger to down. You will need to set it aside and reinstall it once the hitch is installed.

After watching Utube video I found it very easy to install. Works great for my bike rack. Thanks.
Excellent fit and not a horrible job to do. Hardest part for me was worrying about damaging the heat shield taking it off. No problem, just yank on the attachment washers. They go right back on. Next worry was the bolt fishes. Slick as can be. The bolts just went right in place. You will need another person to hold things in place when you start the attachment nuts as you don't want to mess that part up.
Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Fit is perfect.
Hitch is perfect. Harder to install than advertised.
Curt trailer hitch fit and bolted right up, no problem. No drilling, no rework.
The Tekonsha wire harness plugged in as advertised and made this wiring simple.

Its working out very well for us. We only use it for attaching a bike rack.
Installation is not too difficult to do on your own with a couple tools and some elbow grease.
I've used this for camping a half dozen times and it's been flawless thus far.
Easy installation - approximately one hour. High quality finish on hitch is very durable.

The hitch seems well thought out in design and has worked well on my VW Jetta. The installation instructions were pretty good. I did the entire installation myself, crawling under the car on a garage floor. An extra pair of hands would have made it easier.
Much easier to install than the directions for the Drawtite, as you don't have to take off and cut any of the bumper cladding. Just had to add a notch to the plastic that is not normally visible.
Directions are lacking details for my 2021 Jetta, as you don't have to cut much of the plastic, and no mention of the exhaust hanger needing to be in the notch and you have to lift both into place at the same time.

Works very well for my bike rack. Installation was super simple and easy to read the instructions.
Watch the video and your all set. Only issue I had to deal with was removing those fasteners securing the heat shield. Overall a fairly easy install. Having help when installing the holding the hitch in place makes the job easier. Installed on 24 Jetta SE
The instellation was fairly straight forward on my 24 Jetta. My only concern is that this is a Chinese product. That being said my installer strongly recommended that I have the attchment bolts retorked after a few hundred miles to assure they stay snug. Just installed it today so the jury is still out as far as performance is concerned.

Curt manufactures their receiver hitches in the USA. The hardware might be sourced globally, but the hitch itself is absolutely made here, in Eau Claire Wisconsin.
The website description suggests the install would not require any modifications, but there was a plastic shield underneath that needed to be notched out for a proper fit. Otherwise, the installer had no issues.
The wiring harness was a different story though.
Delivery was only a few days and it fit perfectly.
Installed on a 2025 VW Jetta. The exhaust heat shield was located in an area that did not interfere with installation of the trailer hitch, therefore did not need to be removed. Only one exhaust mount at the end of the pipe had to be loosened from the car body.
A straight forward installation.

Granted, I have no experience with other trailer hitches, but I needed one for a bike rack for my e-bike and my mechanic chose this one, saying it was very easy to install. It was the best fit for an e-bike (65 lbs) on a VW Jetta. I am quite satisfied with it.
