After reaching out to Curt on your behalf, they have confirmed that the Class I 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11540 will work on your 2020 Volkswagen Jetta R-Line. They assured me that the only sub model that this hitch will not fit on would be the GLI model.

Depending on what you're wanting to use the hitch for, here are a couple popular products I recommend getting. A ball mount would be good to have. Either a 1-7/8 inch ball # C45571 or a 2 inch ball # C45572. If you plan on using those ball mounts, you would need to get wiring # 118791 to connect to the 4 pole on the trailer. Here is a plug to keep the dirt and stuff out of the receiver # 22281.
