Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches For 2021 Volkswagen Jetta

Question:

There are two trailer hitches for my 2022 VW Jetta and they look quite a bit different. Is one better than the other?

For your 2021 Volkswagen Jetta there is the Curt # C11540 and the Draw-Tite # 24978, and you are correct that they look quite a bit different.

This is due to the Curt hitch having a visible crosstube making it very visible once installed but making it easier to install. The Draw-Tite hitch has a hidden crosstube so once installed only the receiver itself is visible as you can see in the included picture.

Both share the same 200lb tongue weight and 2,000lb trailer weight rating, but I recommend the Draw-Tite due to it being less visible.
