Can I use the Curt CMF11540 hitch in Germany to hook up an e-bike rack?

Hey Marion, we carry the Curt Class I hitch part # C11540 that is a could be used with an e-bike rack like the Thule Easy Fold XT part # TH903202 that is also Class I compatible but we don't have a way to ship to Germany and we also don't have a way to know for sure if this fits the German spec versions of the vehicle so I am not sure we are able to be much help for you.

Hey Marion, were you able to find a hitch that fits your vehicle in Germany for your e-bike rack? Knowing what worked could help someone else trying to set up a similar rack overseas.

@JamesonC Hi…yes I just had a hitch installed today at U-Haul. Also got the wiring kit for my 2024 VW Jetta SE. However, the technician had a problem due to the LED lights and the wiring is apparently reversed. Do you know of a wiring kit that works with my car model and LED tail lights?? I am shipping my car to Germany (military) and just need the hitch for a bike rack. In Germany bike racks have to have full lights, license plate etc. I do already have an adapter from a 4 Flat to a 13-pin plug. Appreciate the help. I suppose U-Haul gets their parts from e-trailer because he mentioned it. Thanks.

@MarionM We actually have an trailer wiring kit that fits your 2024 Volkwagen Jetta SE with the Curt part # C63DQ. This plugs inline with your taillights and is correct configuration for your vehicles taillights to provide a 4-way for your bike rack.
