The Trifecta 2.0’s tri-fold setup makes getting to your gear simple. Just open the tailgate, release the spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps, and fold back the rear panel to reach cargo in seconds. When you need more space, fold the cover up toward the cab and secure it with the built-in buckles for two-thirds bed access. For full use of the bed, the entire cover lifts off easily thanks to the quick-release Jaw-Grip clamps.
Rain, dust, and heat are no problem for this cover. The black, leather-grain vinyl is permanently attached to the frame and sewn at the corners for a tight, durable fit that won’t flap or come loose. Snap-on rubber seals wrap the perimeter and help keep water out, while the aircraft-grade aluminum frame and bows carry a rustproof black powder coat. Even through extreme hot or cold conditions, the cover stays strong and flexible.
Installing the Trifecta 2.0 takes minutes with no tools required. The pre-installed Jaw-Grip clamps at the front bow attach directly to the bed flanges and prevent over-tightening that could damage the bed. The rear EZ-Lock clamps spring into place automatically when released, locking the cover securely. No extra bolts, rails, or drilling—just clamp it on and go.
Sitting about 1" to 1-1/2" above the bed rails, the Trifecta 2.0 keeps a smooth, contoured appearance instead of sticking out. Its black powder-coated, aircraft-grade aluminum frame and glass-filled nylon hinges add structural strength without extra weight. The integrated corner tuck system holds the tarp tight and gives the cover a sleek, finished look that stays that way through years of use.
Once the tailgate is closed and locked, the tonneau stays secured—no separate key or latch needed. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon clamps hold firm, and the cover can be folded or removed completely whenever you need to haul something large. It’s a lightweight, sturdy system—about 35 lbs—with a lifetime warranty for long-term confidence.

Sorry to hear that, Craig. I can't say I have heard of one of these failing so quickly, so I am surprised. That said, the picture you sent is of a hard folding cover and what you ordered is a replacement for a soft folding cover. Is the picture of a different cover? And then also, can I ask who you contacted exactly? I checked your account and your email address, but I could not find anything sent in. Did you use a different email address by chance?

Very happy with cover, was very easy to install. Keeps everything in bed dry and hidden. Easy to remover for larger loads. Looks great still. All in all was a fantastic experience with product!

Product worked great for the time that I had the truck it was on. The material didnt fade from the sun and it never tore or scratched if something hit it. I definitely would purchase again.

I am very sorry to hear that install was more difficult than anticipated. A lot of companies do have an install policy, it was on there for more than one day which is why we can't take it back. Once again, my apologies that you are not more pleased with the cover, this is not the typical feedback I get on this product.

I reached out to Extang about the cover. The covers are designed to cover the inside dimensions of the bed. You will want to make sure that the cover is centered on the bed itself. Sometimes it seems like the cover should be closer to the cab window and that is not the case. You will want to make sure that it is centered. Also, the cover also is not always designed to cover the stake pockets.
