Question:
I'm wanting to tow a small trailer with my 2019 Jetta. What do I need to do this?

Expert Reply:
To tow a trailer with any vehicle you will need a trailer hitch, ball mount kit, and a wiring kit to activate the trailer lights.
For your 2019 Volkswagen Jetta I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11540 which works with the ball mount # C45520, hitch pin and clip # F-4, and hitch balls # C40001 for 1-7/8" and # C40018 for 2". We have a ball mount bag # ETBMB available to help keep all of these components together.
Then for wiring use the Tekonsha # 119250KIT which uses clamps to connect to the lighting functions.
