So far the trans cooler has been working well. I also used the adapters. Both products are doing well after 1500 miles or so and many hills, mountains, and trailering.

100 happy with the trans cooler and adapter set. Temp stays nice and cool. Puts me at ease when towing my trailer.

by:

worked great doing the job it is designed for

Great cooler upgrade for my 1997 GMC Yukon! Little delivery damage, but was so easy to bend those fins back to original shape so no worries!
Nice that you had proper dimension measurements online, so it was easy to figure out what kind I can fit in my truck. Complete kit had everything I needed to get it done!
Modified old cooler bracket little bit and that was it. Works great!

by:

Got those radiator fitting male an female for my 97 Chevrolet ,worked perfect d13018 made easy job out of hooking up my trans cooler ! A must have .just wish I had got my trans cooler from etrailer they are a great company .so if you gonna put a trans cooler own you GM truck take my word for it you best go to trailer! Won't be sorry, thanks

by:

Will make the installation of the trans cooler easier

by:

Have I gotten my refund for trans cooler fittings that weren't needed? 1994 k1500 trans cooler is working great.

by:

Very handy for unique installations fo transmission coolers

by:

It looks like from reading the matierl if one is using the cooler in series with the factory cooler this adapter is not needed.
Thus I would like to return, but I fear the shipping cost will not make sense, dollar wise...

Thus the recommendation should state if you are adding a cooler to your system where one does not already exist, then you'll need this adapter.

So if your adding to an already existing system, you do not need the adapter.

by:

Worked out great for installing the extra trans cooler.

by:

Pro help online to order. Trans cooler shipped right away.
Installed and working perfectly.

by:

Worked just as needed

by:

The adapter fitting did not fit my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 w/ 5.3 liter engine and factory trailer package.

by:

Exact fit for my 2000 Chevy Silverado. What a time saver. I am glad that etrailer suggested these.

by:

Just received my order today. I haven't installed the parts yet. They appear to be high quality though.

by:

I purchased these fittings thinking these would fit my GM product. NOT.......These are 3/8 and looks like the fit the truck series only as stated on the package. Be aware

by:

These fittings made connecting the hoses to the steel transmission lines very easy - glad I bought them! I recommend getting them.

  • Can I Replace The Factory Transmission Cooler on a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado
In regards to your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, if you will be removing the auxiliary transmission cooler then I recommend using the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13614 to replace it. This cooler measures 11" wide x 11-3/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep which you should have plenty of space for. In general we recommend that you install the supplemental transmission cooler in-line the factory transmission cooler (in radiator) and the auxiliary transmission cooler (behind...

  • How Many Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings Are Needed To Install Transmission Cooler 1999 GMC Yukon
The item you selected, Derale Radiator Adapter Fitting, part # D13018, is the adapter fitting needed for a transmission cooler for your 1999 GMC Yukon. Part # D13018 comes with a quantity of 2 which you will need to install a transmission cooler on your vehicle. A transmission cooler I would recommend for your vehicle is the Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13504. The ideal place to mount a transmission cooler is behind the grill, but in front of the radiator or AC condenser as it will...

  • Installation Time and Difficulty of Installing a Transmission Cooler on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Depending on the vehicle, and where the transmission cooler, # D13503, is going to be installed, it could take around an hour or longer. There really is not set amount of time because every vehicle is different and different size engines have more or less space and use different fittings. For a 2003 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.7 liter, use Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings, # D13018. For a 4.0 liter, use kit # D13028 for 3/8 inch x 3/8 inch hose splicers, or kit # HH41413. On a 2003 Jeep Grand...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2015 GMC Yukon XL
The best transmission cooler for a 2015 GMC Yukon XL will be the biggest one you have space for but as these vehicles have very large engine bays you should be able to use pretty much any one such as the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler part # D13613 which is what I recommend. It measures 11" wide x 8-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep. You may also be able to use either the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings part # D13018 or Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM part # D13035...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2003 Cadillac CTS
When it comes to picking out a transmission cooler for a vehicle there is not a list of confirmed coolers that will fit different vehicles. The best way to pick one out is to measure the area in front of your radiator and pick a cooler that will fit in that area. If you have the room I think a Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13502 should work well to cool the transmission fluid of your 2003 Cadillac CTS. The measurements of this cooler are 11 inches wide, 7-1/4...

  • Transmission Cooler for a GM K3500 Pickup Truck with a 6.5 Liter Diesel
We generally recommend going with the largest cooler that will fit in the space available in the engine compartment. The Most popular cooler for the K series with the 6.5 liter is # D13503 that you have referenced. It measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. You can get more cooling efficiency using a stacked plate cooler. I would go with # D13403. Even though it is smaller the stacked plate design is more efficient so it is rated higher than the plate fin coolers. You...

  • Should a Transmission Cooler Go After the Factory Cooler on a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
The recommended flow path when adding a supplemental transmission cooler like # D13502 is from the transmission to the factory cooler, then to the supplemental cooler, and finally back to the transmission. You may also need an additional fitting to avoid cutting and flaring lines. The correct fitting depends on the engine in your truck. If you have a 4.3 liter or 8.1 liter, use fitting # D13018. For any other engine size use # D13035. I have included some links on transmission coolers for you.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendations for a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4 5.7L
To determine what kind of transmission cooler you will need depends on how much weight you will be towing and where you will be towing. Also, you will want to check how much room you have in front of the radiator to be able to install the transmission cooler. If you will be towing a light load, less than 2000lbs, in flat driving conditions, your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 5.7L will do fine with a class I rated cooler. The Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler part # D13504 that you referenced would be an excellent choice for you. This will allow you to get more power to make towing easier on your Silverado and will also allow you to more accurately monitor temperatures on your engine and transmission.
