Used these, while installing Power Steering and Transmission cooling kits on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. I pulled a 5' x 8' U-Haul trailer from Virginia to Utah. I must say that I am impressed! Had zero issues the entire trip, going up and down hills/mountains with grades of 8%. They are still going strong to this day and have kept all hoses secured. 273044

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2013 Chevy Tahoe
I have the perfect transmission cooler option for you. Generally speaking, the best transmission cooler to use would be the largest one you have available space for. The best place to install a transmission cooler is in front of the radiator/condenser behind the grill on your 2013 Chevy Tahoe. I recommend using the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler part # D52508 because the plate and fin technology incorporated into this transmission cooler is far more efficient than...

  • Can a Remote Transmission Cooler Be Mounted Under the Front of a Truck Bed
Technically, with enough extra hose, you could mount it anywhere that is safe and does not expose the cooler core to road debris. I have not heard of anyone mounting a cooler in your chosen location though. You would also most likely need more transmission fluid because of the extra hose that would be needed. I recommend staying under the hood because the less hose that is used the less likely it is to get damaged. Plus it will be easier to install. If extra hose is needed a ten foot...

  • Transmission Cooler for a 2013 GMC Yukon XL
The transmission coolers that we carry are meant as supplemental coolers to the factory cooler though some people do decide to bypass the factory cooler for any number of reasons. The term tow package means different things to different manufacturers but it does often include a supplemental cooler. Adding a cooler is an inexpensive way to help get the most life out of your transmission, especially when towing. Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific. However, if you happen to...

All of the Derale transmission coolers, fittings and hoses that we carry are tested for use up to 300 psi. Along with this cooler you might need the following parts for installation as an engine oil cooler: 10 AN Hose Fittings, # D98203 Remote Engine Oil Cooler Installation Kit, # D15752 Stacked-Plate Cooler Bracket Kit, # D50020 If installing this cooler as a transmission cooler you might need the following parts: 10 AN Hose Fittings, # D98203 Stacked-Plate Cooler Bracket Kit,...

  • Power Steering Cooler Recommendation for an Off-road Rock Crawler
Typically, in automotive applications, the addition of a supplemental cooler will drop the fluid temperature around 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep in mind, this is with the cooler mounted directly behind a vehicle grille, receiving good airflow. For your situation, I would recommend a different product. The power steering cooler, # D13310, that you referenced will help, but the lack of airflow will probably not give you the results you are looking for. Instead, I recommend looking...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2007 Dodge Ram with Cummins Diesel
For a full size diesel truck you'd need all the cooling power you can get if you plan to bypass your factory cooler. Stacked plate coolers are the most efficient styles of coolers around so the part # D54010 would be your best option. To complete the installation you will want two of the barb hose fittings, part # D98202, replacement rubber hose # D15799, hose clamps # D13008 and insta-dapt radiator adapter # D13004. The mounting kit is # D50020.

This is one of the most efficient coolers on the market that would work great on your vehicle. To install this cooler you will need a few other components. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Ram 3500, 6.7 Cummins with 6 spd Automatic
The best way to install a supplemental transmission cooler in line with a factory transmission cooler is to put the supplemental cooler after the factory cooler. To do that you will need to determine which of the lines from the factory cooler is the outlet. To do that you will want to start your truck when its cold, put it in drive for about 10 seconds with the brake on, put it back in park and shut the truck off. Next you will want to grab both transmission lines feeding into the cooler....

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler and Parts Needed for Installation on 2011 GMC Sierra
For your 2011 GMC Sierra I recommend using a Derale 10,000 Series Stacked-Plate Cooler with -10 AN Fittings, like # D52510. I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said these coolers are popular among Allison transmission owners. When choosing a transmission cooler, the largest cooler that will fit in the space available in your engine compartment is typically the best. Generally speaking, the larger the cooler the better the cooler performance. A stacked-plate cooler is the most efficient...

Yes! You can use 2 of the Derale 40-row coolers # D54008 to cool the transmission fluid on your prostreet car. The stacked plate design is the most efficient at cooling. To optimize cooling make sure the coolers are mounted where they can get the most air flow (right behind the grille). I also recommend a couple of mount kit # D50020 and some hose. For a 25 foot length with an inner diameter of 11/32" use # D13007. For 25 feet of a 3/8" diameter use # D13017. We also have a 4-pack of...

  • Can I Bypass the Factory Transmisson Cooler on a 2007 Nissan Frontier
We do not recommend bypassing the factory cooler with a supplemental transmission cooler, but if you are going to do so, I strongly suggest using the largest and most effective cooler that will fit in your engine compartment. Keep in mind, these transmission coolers are designed to be supplemental coolers to the vehicle's cooling system, not independent coolers. As far as coolers go, the most effective design is a stacked-plate cooler like the Derale High-Performance Transmission Cooler,...

I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said there are only a few things that typically cause leaking with this thermostat. First, make sure the included foam pad is placed over the capillary tube. Thanks for asking about a Power Steering Cooler and Engine Oil cooler for your 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6. Adding two more coolers is not going to present a cooling issue for your engine/radiator. The coolers allow air to flow through them and will not transfer enough heat to the air going through them to effect the cooling performance of the vehicle's radiator. Your engine oil filter has 3/4-16 threads. So you can determine the correct threads to use from the recommended kits below,...

However, they are also much thicker at 2" which means you will need to make sure you have this much depth in addition to the length and height of 13" wide x 9-3/16" tall.
