We generally recommend going with the largest cooler that will fit in the space available in the engine compartment. The Most popular cooler for the K series with the 6.5 liter is # D13503 that you have referenced. It measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep.

You can get more cooling efficiency using a stacked plate cooler. I would go with # D13403. Even though it is smaller the stacked plate design is more efficient so it is rated higher than the plate fin coolers.

You might also need an additional fitting, # D13018, to avoid cutting and flaring lines. I have also included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you.
