With a fan-mounted heat-exchanger unit, you can be sure that there will always be optimum airflow for your engine oil cooler no matter where your cooler is mounted or what sort of environment you are traveling through. Couple that with the highly efficient plate-fin core - wherein finned chambers provide increased surface area, allowing superior heat transfer with minimum pressure drop - and you have a truly effective heat-exchange system.

The sandwich adapter in this kit provides the external oil lines necessary to install a cooler without requiring you to move the factory spin-on oil filter, making it even easier to extend the life of your vehicle's engine. In addition, the thermostatic bypass feature allows oil cooler than 180 degrees to bypass the heat exchanger, so your engine will warm up faster.

This is a good cooler however on a 4 wheel drive avalanche it's a challenge to get it installed in a position that will work with all of that equipment under there. I pinched the oring a little bit and it's leaking very slightly. On the next oil change I'll replace the oring, other than that this cooler works great. 479466

Oil cooler works great, Only thing that I have an issue with is I can not use my stock oil filter with it. I have a 1992 Chevy K3500 with a 454 tonawanda 7.4 liter. In the instructions it is telling me to use a filter that is for a 350 or a 5.6 liter. But I was told by Derale that I should have no issues at all. 387448

  • The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 is a great choice for your 2015 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with 4.0L V6 and the plate-fin is a good way to go. The internal turbulator agitate the fluid to facilitate heat transfer and prevent any undesirable drop in pressure. • Remote Engine Oil Cooler for a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 with 5.9 Liter Cummins Diesel
  • Your 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 with 5.9 liter Cummins diesel should use a 22 x 1.5 oil filter thread size and the remote oil cooler # D15450 does come with that size sleeve nut, among others. So yes, you can use it on your truck. The amount of additional oil depends on how much hose you use to install the cooler. You will want to check the oil level after installation to determine how much more oil is needed. Because the amount of hose used varies there isn't a set amount of extra oil you...

  • Engine oil and transmission fluid coolers such as the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Fan-Powered Oil Cooler # D15450 are not vehicle-specific. They can be installed on just about any vehicle that has a suitable mounting point. Since this is a remote cooler that does NOT depend on passive air flow from the vehicle's motion it will cool your oil at any speed and you can put it pretty much anywhere you want to. The kit is intended to fit all vehicles with engine block oil filter landings...

  • Engine Oil Cooler Recommendation for Truck that Overheats While Towing Fifth Wheel
  • Your problem would be best solved by a remote engine oil cooler. Since your engine is overheating first that would indicate that the problem is there and not in the transmission fluid. The Derale Atomic Remote Engine Cooler part # D15450 would be a great option. This will drastically cool the engine oil temperature so that your radiator fluid will be lowered considerably which will then allow your transmission fluid to stay a bit cooler as well. Since this cooler has a fan attached to...

The kit includes multiple sleeve nuts to fit the engine oil filter mount to mount the sandwich adapter in the kit. • Oil & Transmission Coolers for Ford F-53-Based Class A RV
  • Based on my research the 1998 Fleetwood Bounder M-36S Class A RV with the Ford 460 engine is based on the Ford F-53 chassis. Coolers are not vehicle-speciofic; you can install as large a cooler as you have space to mount one. Coolers are also not fluid specific; the same cooler model can be used for engine oil and for transmission fluid or even power steering fluid. Derale Class III cooler # D15551 includes a spin-on adapter in the required 3/4-16 thread. This will be a good choice...

  • Recommended Supplementary Transmission Cooler for 2005 Nissan Frontier

In your case with a Nissan vehicle that has one of those troublesome leaking coolers (that could allow engine coolant into your transmission!) you'll really be better off replacing the radiator. If you feel you still need additional transmission cooling then you can install an add-on supplementary cooler like the Derale # D13502. You can install as large...

  • The Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15450, along with other aftermarket oil and transmission coolers, is not vehicle-specific. What that means is it will mount in any vehicle so long as you have enough room for it to fit; this cooler measures 12-3/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall x 4-5/16" deep so you would need at least that much space for it to fit. You will not need an additional adapter because the sandwich adapter it comes with is a universal fit, and it also comes...

It has the heat exchanger, a spin-on remote adapter, hoses, rings, etc. The plate-fin cooler gives you strength and efficiency. Based on my research the 5.3 liter used in the 2008 Hummer H3 will use filter thread size 22mm x 1.5. And it will use the included 2-3/4 inch o-ring. So yes, this cooler will fit your Hummer.
