Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness. The connection point for the 7-way harness is located behind the rear bumper. The converter plugs into the factory wiring harness in your rear cargo area, on the driver's side. You will have to remove the floor covers, cargo trays, and some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the included fuses into your fuse panel as indicated in the instructions.

Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a 2-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on 1 wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's 3-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Video Transcript for Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Honda Pilot

Today in our 2017 Honda Pilot, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package, with a 7-way Trailer Connector. Part number 118286.To help us with our installation, we're going to be using the Pollak Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware for a 7-Pole RV-style Trailer Connector. Part number PK12711U.Here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to provide us with a 7-way Connector, so we can all have all of the lights going down the road that we need, like our taillights, turn signals, our brake lights awesome our reverse lights and it will provide us a 12 Volt Power Source and an option, if we have a brake controller to control the brakes on our trailer. Our 7-way Connector is going to be compatible with all the adapters like, a four, five or six way and those are sold separately and you can pick them up here at etrailer.com.Our wiring is custom designed for our Pilot that has a Factory Tow Package so we're not going to have to cut or splice into an of our wiring. We're simply going to have a plug on the driver's side and inside the hatch that we're going to plug it into. Our wiring is also going to have a power converter to make sure the lights on our trailer match our Pilot. Now there is going to be a few fuses that are included in the kit that we're going to have to put in place in order for the Tow Package to be activated.

Now that we've seen the end result of our wiring and gone over some of the features, let's show you how to get it installed. To begin our installation, we're going to want to open up the rear hatch and we're going to take out the floor covering. I'm going to lift up this panel, I'm going to pull it out and set it out and set it aside. Now, on the driver's side, right underneath our power outlet, we're going to have this access panel. We can take a flat head screwdriver, we'll put it in the notch, we can pop that panel out and that will give us access back here. Now since that is going to be an extremely tight spot, we're looking for a plug that's back here, we're going to go in and loosen up this panel so we can get better access. The top of that panel, we're going to have a tie down hook right here. We'll take a flat head screwdriver and we're going to separate that cover.

It'll have a little strap that's holding it in place, but behind there, we're going to have a bolt that's holding it in. You're going to want to grab an 8mm socket and we can pull that bolt out. We're going to lift up a little bit and we can pull our cargo hook out.Now below that, on the inside, we're going to have another cargo hook. You want to lower the hook down, and then, on the inside, we're going to have a cover that we're going to have to pop out. It's going to be pretty tight and hard to get in there but you're going to want to get a flat head screwdriver and pop it open.Behind that cover, we're going to have a Phillips screw, so you want to grab a Phillips head bit, so we can pull it out.

We'll pull the screw, and our tie down hook out.Now we'll move to the very back where our threshold is, we're going to need to pull that out to give ourselves a little bit of extra room. On the very center here, we're going to have this plate that's going to be going over our latch mechanism. So you want to grab a trump panel tool or a flat head screwdriver, we're going to pop it up, we'll pull it out, that way it won't get damaged and we'll set it aside. Then, if we come to bottom of our threshold, we'll have a small spot where we can hook our finger, we're going to lift up and it'll release the clips and we can set our threshold piece aside. Now, we'll come to our side panel on the driver's side, we're going to pull our weather stripping away so we can get access to that panel behind it. We're just going to grab the panel in the black section and we're going to pull towards the passenger side, releasing those clips.

Pulling that threshold out is going to give us a little bit of wiggle room down here so we can pull the panel away and gain access on the back side.If we reach in, right underneath our seatbelt reel, we'll find this white plug. Now, this is going to be the plug for our harness to plug into. To make things a little bit easier on ourselves, I'm actually going to feed the plug, that has all my wires on it, through our access hole here and then, reach from the back to connect everything together. We'll just feed it in, and we'll go towards our plug that we want to plug into, we can pull our panel away, grab the plug and plug it in. You want to make sure that locks into place, give your wires a quick tug to make sure it does lock in.Just so we can get everything in a little bit easier, we come to bottom where we have our jack tool storage, we'll go out and pull this panel out and we'll set it aside. That will give us access so that we can reach in and feed our wires through so they come out down here. Let's take the end with our electrical tape, we'll feed it down, we can reach in and start pulling all that excess out towards the center here. Now, before we pull it too far in, we do want to connect our ground wire. Now, this is either going to need to go to a flat spot on the sheet metal using a self-tapping screw or we can find an existing bolt and undo it and use that as our ground.I'm going to take a self-tapping screw, I'm actually going to start it right back here behind that panel, that way it will be out of the way. I'll get it started that way it's a little bit easier when I put my ring terminal through, I don't have to worry about dropping it. You want to make sure it's secure enough that that ring terminal is not going to be moving around.I do want to mention the white connector with the single blue wire coming out of it, this is going to plug into the corresponding connector that's going to go with your backup sensors. If yours has this you're going to plug this in, but if yours is like ours where you don't have it, we're simply just not going to be using this connector. Now, we're going to mount our converter box. I'm going to take some of the double sided foam tape, I'm going to remove the backing, we'll stick it directly to the converter box. Then we can remove the backing off of there. I'm going to reach in and stick it directly to the back of the body right behind this panel. It will be nice and secure but it's not going to interfere with anything.Inside that panel, we're going to have this rubber plug in the floorboard right here that we're going to have to pull out. Now our wiring is going to have a grommet that's going to replace that and we're going to run our wire outside to bottom. So you can take a flat blade screwdriver and pop that plug out. Now, we're simply going to take the end that has all the electrical tape and all the bare wires on it, we're going to feed it down through that hole, we're going to push all the slack out until we can get the grommet in place. You just want to make sure you get that grommet fully seated so we don't have to worry about any kind of leaks or water coming inside our vehicle. It is going to be a tight fit so you just kind of want to work that grommet back and forth until it's fully seated in there. With everything connected back here, we'll go ahead and put all of our panels back in place. The wire we dropped down, actually came out on the bottom of the driver's side. Then, I just ran it over towards my hitch because we have a mounting bracket already attached to our hitch that we're going to put our 7-way bracket on.You want to pull all the electrical tape off, so we can expose our wires and the connectors on the back. We'll grab our connector here and we're going to want to put our wires into the corresponding hole. Now, the easiest way to do this if we start with our white wire, it's going to be the largest one, it's going to have the largest fitting in the back. So we'll just take the connector, we're going to line it up, slide it in, making sure that rubber goes all the way in as well and it will lock in place. We're going to follow the diagram that's in our instructions and repeat that for all of our remaining wires. This is what it should look like once you're done. If you have that tab on top, it should be green, then the black, then our brown wire, then our blue wire and then, large, ground wire which is white, then red next to the green and the yellow wire in the center. Now, once we have all those in place, we keeper here, we're going to have it go through, kind of weaving in between the wires. I'll feed it in, these two little tabs are going to go into this two sections here to kind of hold everything nicely in place just like that. With our plug wired up, we can get ready to mount the bracket so we can something to mount our plug to. We'll just drop our hardware down, we'll attach it up, get everything in by hand right now. Then, we can come back and tighten it up after it's on. Just want to make sure that your hardware is nice and tight so the bracket is not going to be loose. Now, we can take our 7-way plug, we'll slide it into position. We'll take our mounting hardware, we want to make sure that we get at least one started. Then, start working our way around, putting the rest of the hardware in place. Then, we can come back and tighten it up.Once the plug in bracket is all secure, I'm going to take my connector, just to put a little bit of dielectric grease in there, that will help prevent water from getting inside and causing a corrosion build up.We'll line up our connector, we can plug it in, making sure it locks into place. We just want to tie up any of the excess wire here, we can either tie it to our hitch or behind the bumper so it's not in the way.We everything buttoned up in the back, we're going to move underneath the hood. Now, towards the driver's side right against the firewall, we're going to have our fusebox. We're going to need to pull the cover off, just push in on the tabs, we can pull the cover off. We're going to need to put in a few fuses so that our wiring is going to work. We're going to take the 30-amp fuse that comes in our kit, we're going to have one spot that's going to be right next to the stud. We're going to insert it there. That's going to be the number two and that's going to be the main trailer power so we'll put that 30-amp there. Then, on the very end here, next to that 10-amp fuse, that's going to be Spot 11 and we're going to put our 20-amp fuse from our kit into that spot. That's going to be labeled, Trailer Charge. Then, next to our 30-amp fuse, next to the 7.5-amp, we're going to put in another 20-amp fuse from our kit, that ones going to be labeled, Trailer E Brake.Once we have all those in place, we can put our cover back on. We're going to test all of our circuits to make sure that they're working properly. I went ahead and plugged in my 7-way tester and, already, we can see that I am getting voltage back here so we know that part is working.I'm go ahead and run my lights and make sure that all those circuits are working properly as well. If I turn my headlights, we can see that my clearance lights are working as well as my left turn signal, my right turn signal and my brakes. We're even going to have our reverse light signal work as well. That will finish up your look at the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package, with a 7-way Trailer Connector. Part number 118286 on our 2017 Honda Pilot.

I used this wiring kit with the Honda hitch. I would recommend installing the 7-way receptacle to the mounting bracket on the hitch prior to installing the hitch to the car. You will need to drill holes in the mounting bracket on the hitch since the ones on the receptacle don't line-up with the ones on the bracket. I used four stainless steel screws and nuts with nylon inserts to connect everything together. The rest of the installation went just like the video, easy. 710951

This kit is perfect, it doesn't hurt that Honda thought to pre-wire the Pilot with plug and play harnesses for trailer wiring kits as well as trailer brake controllers. The kit itself is super high quality, comes with the fuses needed to activate the circuits for trailer lights, trailer charge, and trailer brake controller. The wire ends are even taped together for your convenience for added ease of fishing the wires through the grommet hole in the trunk area. They've thought of everything. The only tiny negative i can mention is that my kit was missing a packet of thermo/electric grease to protect the terminals, again this is very minor. I wouldn't even deduct a star for that because the rest of this kit just hits it out of the park. 10/10 would buy again and install is INSANELY EASY! 364607

Good. I was able to attache the hitch to my 2017 Honda Pilot without any difficulty. However, I had ordered the 7 wire harness which took some time to install. The You tube video I found for the item was very helpful. I am disappointed in the service as I now must order a separate bracket to attach the 7 wire harness outlet to the frame of the hitch. I recognize the need to understand the component parts required as the consumer, however, I emailed the company to ask for guidance and received no reply. It delayed me ordering the product, and created a time crunch, I attempted to change delivery addresses. The customer service agent went out of her way to assure the change had been entered. Much to my dismay, the product was delivered to the original address, requiring me to arrange ground transportation to the new address. I have now sent a second inquiry regrading the bracket and have not heard back. In short, product is great but I am disappointed in the level of service. 422936

Very easy to install, I just followed along with the installation video and had it completed in around 30 minutes. I have a 2018 Honda Pilot LX and this fit it perfectly. Towed an RV later that afternoon with no issues. Just be sure to have either ordered the mounting bracket in addition to this piece and you should be set. 672260

This harness was very easy to install as far as the wiring fuses go. The video made it very simple. However, the holes on the plug assembly do not match the holes on an OEM hitch mounting bracket for a 2016 Honda Pilot Elite. I bought the hitch assembly separate as I wanted the OEM look with the hitch coming through the bumper. The OEM hitch has a mounting bracket on it, but the holes don't align. I'm either going to have to drill new holes in the mounting bracket or try to attach the assembly to the outside of the bumper. It is currently being held on with zip ties. It would also be nice to have the plug grease added to the components that are provided. 667481

Product was what I ordered. It ended up arriving much later then promised, but this was not Etrailers fault. The manufacturer had a long delay. Still, Etrailer customer reps monitored my order, sent emails to keep me informed, and mad themselves available if I had questions. Will definitely shop here again. 629336

One of the pins kept pushing out when connecting the bumper end of the harness. I finally got it but it took a lot of effort. The instructions promised a purple wire in my vehicle to disable the backup sensors but it isn't there. It beeps constantly inside the vehicle when backing a trailer. 609983

Comments

The instructions mention a blue wire, but I dont see anything about a purple wire. If the vehicle is equipped with the backup sensors, the two connectors plug inline with the existing connection shown in figure D in the instructions. The connection shown there would be unplugged, and each connector on the harness would be plugged inline. This will NOT defeat the back up sensors, they will remain active..

This product plugged in very easily and all the necessary components were provided including the zip ties for my 2016 Honda Pilot. I did have to purchase my own bolts and drill my own holes to secure the 7-pin receiver to the bumper since I purchased the OEM trailer hitch. It was still a breeze to install and I would highly recommend the video which accompanies this for the 2016 Honda Pilot. 496262

Very easy to install. Everything I needed was right in the plastic bag of hardware. The head of the self-tapping screw was smaller than the hole in the lug on the ground wire so I had to use a washer between the two. Also, I didn't get a nice clicking sound when I put the white wire into the connector, but all the rest were good. I hope the white wire stays put, but I think it will because of the little plastic piece used to secure all of the wires. I probably didn't need this fancy of a harness for my infrequent, light-towing needs, but it really was a dream to install. Would highly recommend. 493715

The package that the harness was in inside the shipping box was already open a nd partly tapped back. The head of self taping ground screw was too small for the ground wire and slipped right off. This worked so well! Online video walked through everything and install was only about an hour tops. My only frustration was pulling the plug down from inside my Honda, which is Honda's fault and how they tape the harness they put in the vehicle. It took me longer to get that out than installing everything else. But this made the job easier and everything was included down to the fuses. Again, the video really makes it so anyone can install these things. Thanks for saving me $1,600 vs what the dealer wanted! 403575

Installation was easy and straightforward. One thing to note, my 2017 Honda Pilot touring AWD was pre-wired for this 7way harness even though there is no hitch or towing package stated on the window sticker. I'm not sure if it's model specific or all new pilots are pre-wired. 387834

Do you have a question about this Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring?

  • Best 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2018 Honda Pilot
  • The correct 7-way wiring harness for your 2018 Honda Pilot is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118286. In order to mount either connector to the exterior of the vehicle you are going to want to use both part # PK12711U and part # C57202.

  • Recommended Equipment Needed for Towing with a 2017 Honda Pilot
  • Both the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13146 that you are interested in and the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75225 are identical in weight capacities and installation as well so either one will do a great job. Since you are interested in the Curt option I recommend going ahead with that trailer hitch. You will need to note that neither of these options will fit your 2017 Honda Pilot if you have the full size spare tire. You need the mini spare for proper installation. This will work great with...

  • Trailer Brake Controller Installation in 2017 Honda Pilot with Factory Tow Package
  • Some late-model pickup trucks offer the option of a factory-installed trailer brake controller but a vehicle such as a 2017 Honda Pilot does not. In your Pilot you can use a superior aftermarket brake controller. In fact many folks with factory controllers ultimately end up replacing them since the aftermarket units like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 and P3 # 90195 work so much better. If your Pilot came from the factory with a tow package already installed then brake controller installation...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2019 Honda Pilot
  • For your 2019 Honda Pilot the best hitch we have is the Draw Tite part # 75225 if you plan to do any towing since this has a wiring bracket built into it. It also has a concealed crosstube too which makes it less visible too. Then for trailer wiring you'd want the T-one part # 118286 for a 7-way or part # 118760 for a 4-way. This brand of trailer wiring is our most reliable option so I recommend it highly. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount...

  • Is Curt Wiring Harness for 2018 Honda Pilot Mounted Inside Vehicle
  • The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56291 is installed and mounted inside the trunk space of your 2018 Honda Pilot, as you can see by the accompanying photo, which is from a video we did installing this connector in a '17 Pilot. If you wanted to mount your connector under your Pilot you would not need to use the T-One 7-Way # 118286 if you do not need it. Instead you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118760,...

  • 7-Way Trailer Connector Wiring Harness for a 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L
  • For trailer wiring harness # 118286 for your 2017 Honda Pilot you would not need to add any additional wiring or run any extra wires. It comes with everything needed to make the 7-Way fully functional. To attach the 7-Way to hitch # 75225 I recommend bracket # PK12711U. If you ever want to get a new brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. You will also need wiring harness # 3070-P to plug the controller into your Pilot if the...

  • Comparing the 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harnesses for a 2016 Honda Pilot
  • Wiring harness # 118286 is meant as a replacement for the OEM 7-Way on a 2016 Honda Pilot or to upgrade the factory 4-Way to a 7-Way. Wiring harness # 118286 is similar with the difference being that it has a second connector that works with the backup sensor which allows that sensor to continue working. If the vehicle never had a trailer connector then go with 118286.

  • Best 7-Way Wiring Harness for 2019 Honda Pilot
  • The best 7-way wiring harness for your 2019 Honda Pilot is from Tekonsha, which has a very strong reputation for creating quality wiring products. For your '19 Pilot the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118286 is what you will want to use because it does just plug into your Honda's tow package harness, though you will need to also install the included fuses with this connector; the linked instructions for this harness detail exactly where to place those fuses. • How to Install a Brake Controller on a 2017 Honda Pilot
  • The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118286 is what I recommend to add a 7-way to your 2017 Honda Pilot. The harness connects to the rear plug in the vehicle's hatch. This plug then runs through the length of the vehicle up behind the driver's side dash panel to a brake controller port. For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 which is one of our best selling options due to its ease of use, integrated safeguards, and easy to...

  • 2018 Honda Pilot Trailer Wiring and Hitch Recommendation
  • We have just what you need to install a 7-way in your 2018 Honda Pilot. For that you'd want the part # 118286 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. This fits regardless of what type of tow package you might be missing. Then for a trailer hitch the Draw Tite part # 75225 is a confirmed fit and would also be a great option. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Best Trailer Hitch for 2018 Honda Pilot
  • The hitch I suggest for your 2018 Honda Pilot is the Curt model # C13146. This Curt hitch is USA-made and includes all required mounting hardware. You do not have to do any drilling to install it and it will fit fine with an 18-inch or smaller spare tire stowed under the vehicle. It also has a high tongue weight capacity of 900-lbs. An installation video is linked along with the written instructions; the instructions list the specific tools needed to bolt this on to your Pilot. I also...

  • How to Install a Brake Controller on a 2018 Honda Pilot
  • The best brake controller we have for your 2018 Honda Pilot is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. This a proportional brake controller that has integrated safeguards to protect the vehicle/trailer and continuous diagnostics checks for easy troubleshooting. In order to install this controller you will first want to take a peek under the driver's side kick panel up near the emergency brake lever to see if there is an adapter port present (see video). • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2017 Honda Pilot
  • For your 2017 Honda Pilot, I recommend the Tekonsha 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118286 if your trailer has a 7-Way connector. If your Pilot has the factory tow package, then it should already have a 7-Way connector mounted beneath the rear bumper, which this would do a great job of replacing. Otherwise, even if your Pilot does not have the factory tow package, this is still a confirmed fit and will simply plug into the existing ports behind the driver side trim panel. I confirmed this with...

  • Is Trailer Hitch Available for 2018 Honda Pilot With Spare Tire?
  • The hitches for your 2018 Honda Pilot, such as the Draw-Tite # 75225, will only fit if your spare tire is 18" or smaller. If so, I recommend the Draw-Tite, which has a 2" receiver and will not require any drilling to install. To add a wiring harness to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # 118760 to add a 4-way if you do not have the factory tow package on your '18 Pilot, or Wiring Harness # 118286 to add a 7-way if you do have the factory tow package. I've added links...

  • Parts Needed to Install 5-Way in 2017 Honda Pilot
  • We have a solution that will allow you to install a 5-way on your 2017 Honda Pilot, but it is not a direct 5-way that is a simple plug and play solution. You'll need to first start with a 4-way like the part # 118760 which is a plug and play option but then you'll need to convert it to a 5-way with the part # C57187. This plugs into the 4-way and gives you an addtional circuit you can run to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle so that the 5th circuit is active.

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 Honda Pilot
  • We have both 7-Way and 4-Way harness options available for your 2018 Honda Pilot. For a 7-Way harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118286. This will install by simply plugging into factory ports behind the vehicle's rear bumper and it includes all the needed fuses to activate the tow package. For just a 4-Way harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118760. This will also plug into factory ports and includes the fuses if needed. If you think you might be towing multiple trailers...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2017 Honda Pilot
  • Starting with the trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75225 for your 2017 Honda Pilot. This hitch is custom-fit for your vehicle and will provide a slightly better ground clearance measurement than the compatible Curt alternative. This has a 900 pound tongue weight and 6,000 pound towing weight capacity. Because the hitch will use existing holes in the vehicle frame, no drilling is required during installation. This hitch will fit with the mini and...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2018 Honda Pilot

I recommend this hitch because it has a concealed cross tube which means it will be mostly hidden and because it is made in the USA. Check out the install video I attached for more info on this as well. For trailer wiring you'd want the part # 118760 for a 4-way or the part # 118286 for a 7-way. These are our most reliable options we offer due to the these kits having the best converter boxes so...

  • Troubleshooting Installation of Tekonsha 7-Way Wiring Harness 118286 in 2018 Honda Pilot
  • To begin troubleshooting your Pilot you will want to reset the electrical system. Since it has the keyless ignition you can reset the vehicle by disconnecting the battery negative terminal and waiting a few minutes. Then re-attach the cable. Do this before you conduct the signal testing. Since you installed all fuses (both in the engine compartment and in the receptacle on the harness near the converter box) and all of your connectors are fully seated together what I suggest is testing...

  • Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2016 Honda Pilot
  • If the 7-Way trailer connector on your 2016 Honda Pilot is the factory installed 7-Way then all of the functions, including the 12 volt power circuit, should be active. But on models that did not come with the factory harness the connection and wiring is there but may not be active. However, you will not have to hardwire in a 7-Way to your Pilot because you can use # 118286. It plugs into the factory connection point and includes the fuses and relays to make it active. • Prodigy RF Brake Controller and Weight Distribution for 2008 Mercedes GL320 and 2016 Honda Pilot
  • You can use the Prodigy RF # 90250 with your 2008 Mercedes GL. And it will work with the 2016 Honda Pilot as well as long as it has a functioning 7-Way trailer connector too. Weight distribution is a good idea considering the weight of the trailer. The 400 pound tongue weight seems low though. Tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. So in this case I would expect it to be 420 to 630 pounds. Fastway system # FA92-00-0600 covers most of that range. It...

  • Is the 7-Way of the Tow Ready Trailer Harness for 2016 Honda Pilot Same as Honda Trailer Connector
  • The 7-way that comes with the # 118286 is a standard 7-way design that is different from the Honda 7-way harness for your vehicle. This uses a 4-bolt mounting bracket whereas the one that comes from Honda uses a bracket for the 7-way that uses 2 bolts on the bottom of it. This 7-way will still work and could potentially still fit in the cut out area of your Pilot but it may require modification. The one we offer will also be much less expensive.
