When you remove the arms, the remaining brackets are tucked in tight and nearly invisible. The base plate mounts within the grille area, so nothing bulky sticks out and the front end keeps its clean, finished look. That also means fewer bumps or scrapes when you walk by or hit the trail without towing gear attached.
Each drawbar slides into place, clicks to lock, and secures with built-in pull rings for easy unlock and removal. There’s no fumbling with pins or extra tools—just twist to connect or disconnect. It’s a simple system that makes solo hookups fast and dependable whether you’re packing up for a trip or unhooking at camp.
Every bracket is computer-cut from steel and finished with a black powder coat that resists corrosion on long hauls. The design bolts directly to the frame and spreads pulling forces evenly for a strong, stable connection through thousands of miles of towing. No welding is required, and all mounting hardware comes in the box for dependable strength right out of the gate.
This kit provides attachment points for a quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00, sold separately) used with Roadmaster tow bars or required when running a Sterling tow bar. Once installed, it integrates cleanly with your existing towing system so you can keep using your preferred tow bar without reworking your whole setup.

I received expert advice on the selection of the base plate needed for my Jeep Wrangler. The product came in a timely fashion and was in great shape when I opened the box. The instructions that came with it gave step by step instructions and great pictures. I cannot think of anything that I was disappointed with.
Perfect fit for my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. Makes hooking up to tow easy. There was some drilling that had to be done to the Jeep frame, but I already knew that before purchase. Etrailer was great and I will purchase here again.
The base plate was as described, very good quality product. Install was easy, instructions were easy to follow. I had to call during install to clear up a question, they did not have the answer but called roadmaster while I waited on the phone and got me an answer. This base plate bolted up quickly to my 1997 Jeep TJ. Instructions were simple and truly made it easy. No problems after a year of installation, close to 4000 miles of towing.
well I finally put my tow bar base plate on. I'm 82 years old so I had my doubts as to weather I could do this so I checked out a location that could have one this job for me but they wanted a hundred and fifteen dollars an hour labor so I said to hell with that . I looked at the directions that you sent with the Base Plate and said to myself, I can do this. Well I did it. Your instructions were dead on and I had no problem at all, In fact I hade a little fun doing it. Thanks a lot It's going to be great.

After using this for a year, I found this to be excellent.

My wife and I installed it with no problems at all,,, easy to do.
The videos was detailed, letting feel comfortable in doing the job.
Sadly, selling the vehicle,, now we don't have it any longer.

The Jeep project went very well everything fit great and worked well. I really love Roadmaster products and quality and your company is the best place to purchase them. I sold the Jeep and replaced it with a new 2019 Chevy Equinox 2.0 L AWD and just purchased and installed the following items from you and installed them, RM-156-25 & RM-156-75 Battery Charge Line Kit, RM-146-7 Flex Coil Kit, RM-523193-4 EZ4 Plate Kit, RM-88333 Custom Seat Adapter, RM-751489 Stop Light Switch Kit and a RM-98160 Second Vehicle Brake Kit w/brakeaway. All these parts were in stock and arrived quickly and normal with you people, I really enjoy the o-line vidios as I do all my own installs. Thank you so much for your great service.
I will attach pictures of my install, you will see how I was able to fab a bracket and attach it to the existing mount on the base plate to mount the brakeaway switch and the air connection for the brake system.
I also fabricated a tail light bar as I didn't want to use mag-lights or splice into the factory lights and bulbs installed into the lights would not work as the factory brake lights will come on when the brake system is applyed and the turn siginals would not be visable.

Everything is working great, I installed a base plate kit, battery charging kit, stop light switch kit, second vehicle air brake kit w brakeaway and seat adapter on our 2019 Chevy Equinox and towed it about 14000 miles behind our motor home this past year and everything worked perfect not a problem with any product.
