An illustration shows the eleven inch clearance level needed between the ground and B and W Tow and Stow hitch.

Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.

The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having both a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.

Easily Adjusts and Stows

B&W Tow & Stow Ball Mount Operation

To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.

Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.

When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.

Built-In Anti-Theft System

The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.

Single Dimensions

A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.

When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

  • Parts Needed To Tow Nucamp Tab 360 Camper With 2022 Ford Ranger
Hey Jesse, Cool name. Correct spelling too lol. You came to the right place. I will go into this assuming your 2022 Ranger has no trailer hitch or trailer wiring connection of any kind. So first, for the trailer hitch I recommend the Curt Class 3 Hitch # C13417. It has a 2" receiver and 6,000 lb towing capacity. More than enough for your nucamp tab 360 which looks like would weigh between 3,000 and 4,000 lbs max depending how you have it loaded. Then for your wiring harness use the...

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13190 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL 450 as long as you don't have the Active Curve System on your 4matic. It is a bolt on installation with complete hardware kit and instructions included. The Active Curve System is a sophisticated leveraging action of the car's suspension that reduces leans in turns by allowing all four wheels to work independently ensuring they are on the ground at the same time. They system uses electrohydraulic...

  • Parts Needed to Install a 7-way Trailer Connector and Tow a Trailer with a 2009 Toyota Tacoma
Yes, you can install a 7-way trailer connector on your 2009 Toyota Tacoma. There's a couple of options depending on your trailer. First you're going to need to start with a 4-way flat connector like you've already found. I suggest the Curt # C55513 which plugs into your truck's wiring either behind the taillights or the rear bumper. Once you have the 4-way, if your trailer does not have brakes you can use an adapter, # 37185, to go from the 4-way to provide a 7-way. However, installing...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2013 Audi Q7
For your 2013 Audi Q7, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75950 over the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13220 because it requires a stability strap # 18050 for any non-trailer loads like bike racks and cargo carriers. The attached installation details do not state trimming is required for your model vehicle. If you will be towing or using a lighted accessory, I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter...

  • Adjustable Ball Mount For A 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK
To get your ball to the height you are wanting on your 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK I recommend using an adjustable mount. I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black Item # BWTS10038B. It provides a 1-7/8" ball and a 2" ball for different trailer couplers and fits 2" receivers. It is going to provide a 5-1/2" rise so it is going to provide the adjustability you are looking for. I recommend making sure the trailer doesn't exceed the weight capacity...

We do have trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2017 Ford Explorer but the Draw-Tite # 75278 will not fit. It's for several different models of GM vans. Instead you'll want to use Draw-Tite # 76034 on your Explorer. I've linked an install video for you. If you're going to be towing a trailer you'll also need a wiring harness. I recommend the Tekonsha 4-way # 118540. You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I've attached a link of our selection of ball mounts for a 2 inch hitch...

  • B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount Compatible With Multi Pro Tailgate on a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500
You need the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BW29FR since you have the Multi Pro tailgate on your 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. This will clear the tailgate when the hitch ball is flipped into the stow position unlike the Mount # BWTS10038B you found. We do have the 2" Hitch Cap Sensor # C57VV you can add to your sierra if you use a standard ball mount or the system you found. This will prevent that portion of the tailgate from opening when a ball mount is inserted into the receiver.

  • Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For A 2022 Jeep Gladiator To Prevent Sagging While Towing
Choosing the correct rear suspension enhancement for your 2022 Jeep Gladiator will depend on how much sag you are actually getting and if you want to have something that is adjustable or not. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS62XR will be the more heavy duty option as it can offer up to 1,800 pounds of support (at 50% compression), but once it's on, it's on. • Ball Mount Recommendation for 2006 Ford F-150 to Cover Basically All Trailers
The B and W Tow N Stow Ball Mount part # BWTS10038B that you referenced would be what I would recommend. This comes with the two more popular ball sizes of 2 inch and 1-7/8 inch which are more common on lighter duty trailers and has ability to do up to a 5 inch drop. If you wanted maximum flexibility though we have a three ball version of this with the part # BWTS10048B which also includes the 2-5/16 inch ball size. This would cover everything and would be a really solid option too.
