Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.
The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the B&W chrome tow and stow three ball mount for a 2 inch hitch. It has a 7 inch drop or a 7 and a half inch rise and a 10,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this ball mount with these built in will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here, this'll slide into a 2 inch hitch receiver opening, and then the hitch ball is what'll provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. If you notice on this ball mount, it has three different-sized hitch balls. It has the 1 and 7/8ths inch, the 2 inch, and the 2 and 5/16ths diameter, so it'll let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes, and it's very easy to switch the ball to whatever one you need. Right now, it's for the 1 and 7/8ths inch, so if you just pop off the clip, pull out the pin, that'll let you rotate this.
And then, you can put it back in if you need the 2 inch or if you need the 2 and 5/16ths.Once you get whatever ball you need, all you have to do then is just go ahead and put your pin back through. Put your clip back in there, and then you're all ready to go. So it makes switching a ball very easy to do. Now, if you also notice, it has the adjustable height here that'll let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Basically, you can just slide this ball platform out, up or down the shank, secure it in place with the included pins and clips at whatever height you need it for. These holes are at 1 inch on center to center, so it gives you incremental height adjustment of 1 inch.
Maximum drop . it's in the maximum drop position right now. It's measured from the top of the shank here to top of the ball platform as 7 inches. If you want maximum rise, you would put it in this way and again measure top of the shank, right here. And that's 7 and a half inches.
And again, just to show you how you would adjust the height, there's these two pins and clips. Pull out the clips. Pull out both pins, and just like that, that'll let you put it in whatever position you need to get those levels possible when you're towing. Also, the nice feature . one of the main features on this is the stowable design. This'll let you store the ball and mounting platform underneath your vehicle, basically the same way.
You just remove those pins and clips that holds the ball platform in place. All you have to do is let it go all the way down, flip it all the way over just like that. And then, you can put it in the position you need, put your pins and clips in. There's your pins. You put your clips in there, and then it'll be stowed out of the way. You'll see, this would be . at the very back, all you'll have showing is that. You won't have this sticking out that you could run into, so it stows in an out of the way position. And then, when you're ready to use it, take your pins and clips off, and again, just rotate it just like this, back into the usable position, and then put it at whatever height you need. Another nice thing is if you notice, there's a slot right here. There's the same one over here. This slot in the shank will ensure that your ball mount platform can't be removed from the tow and stow when it's installed in the hitch, so you can take this ball platform off by turning it around, and it will slide off of these slots right here. But when this is installed in your hitch, it won't allow you to do that. So it's actually a theft deterrent just by when it's installed in there. Now, it does come, if you notice . when you do install this in your hitch, there's two hitch pin . or hitch holes, pinholes here. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. We do sell those separately. It's a standard 5/8ths inch diameter pin. So if you do lock this . and you notice there's two holes, so you just pick the correct hitch pin hole that's for your application. But if you do put a lock through here, that way, when it's locked in there, nobody can get to removing that ball platform, because they have to pull that out to remove it. So if it's locked in, they can't do that. And there's no additional locks necessary to prevent the platform and the balls from being removed, because it'll be locked in by that. This is a durable steel construction, with the T yield tubing. Offers superior strength. If you notice the finish on it, it's a very nice dual process chrome plating on the shank and the balls. It provides nice, excellent rust resistance. The pins themselves are stainless steel pins. Put the clips back in there. Looks like that. Now, this part is made in the USA, and again, a few specs on it. The application, again, is for 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. The gross towing weight and tongue weight capacities, when used with the 1 and 7/8ths inch ball, 3,500 pounds gross towing weight capacity, 350 pounds tongue weight. When used with the 2 inch ball, right over here if you turn it around, 7,500 pound gross towing weight capacity, 750 pound tongue weight. And when used with the largest, the 2 and 5/16ths diameter ball, we'll get you your maximum 10,000 pound gross towing weight or 1,000 tongue weight. The last few measurements I want to give you is the distance from these hitch pin holes to the center of the hitch ball. So from the closest hole to the center of the hitch ball is going to be 9 and a quarter inches. From the hole furthest from the ball, center to center, is right at 10 and 3/8ths inches. But that should do it for the review on the B&W chrome tow and stow three ball mount for a 2 inch hitch, 7 inch drop, 7 and a half inch rise, and a 10,000 pound weight capacity.
