Today we're going to take a look at the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel studs. This is for a quantity of four. They are half inch by two and a half inch size. These half inch studs are designed to replace the damaged studs on your trailers wheel hub. The raised splined end portion right here of this part is what will be driven or pressed into your trailer hub. It holds them into place.

The stud is what goes through the bolt hole on your trailer wheel, and when used with a wheel lug nut, will hold the tire and wheel to your axle. These are grade A bolts. The thread size end is a half inch diameter and twenty threads per inch and they do use a standard half inch by twenty lug nuts. I happened to pull one of those standards half inch lug nuts and you can see they're designed to just tighten onto the end there. I do want to give you a few dimensions on these. The overall length, which is measured from right under here to the very end of the threaded portion, that's your two and a half inches. The thread length portion is right at one and a quarter inches.

That should do it for the review on the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel studs, half inch by two and a half inch in size and a quantity of four of them.

Keep your lug nuts tight! Used these to replace my original 6000 lb Dexter Axle studs. Almost identical and much less expensive. As always, my order was at my door in no time!

This product was as advertised. I had cross threaded a wheel stud on a 2012 Montana fifth wheel trailer. Local auto parts did not have replacement studs the diameter or length I needed. We had searched everywhere trying to find these Hub Wheel Studs. Ours had been cross threaded during a recent tire change and three had been broken when it was attempted to take the tire off. We had a camping trip planned and would be unable to go if we did not find these. The person that helped us when I called was very helpful with our order. I’m ordering replacement studs. I had a wheel come off. All six studs broke off at the rotor. Hope they are not Faulty as I replaced all thirty size studs on my triple axle. Did this about two tears ago. Someone thought they were too tight.

Wheel Stud Recommendation to Fit Dexter 7,000 lb Hubs
Dexter 7,000 lb axle hubs come with either 1/2 inch wheel studs like the part # RG03-080 that you referenced or 9/16 inch diameter studs like the # 7-257. You'd need to measure what you have to know for certain.

Looking For 2-1/2" Long 9/16" Wheel Stud With 0.60"-0.62" Knurl Size
Hello David. All of the 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" long 9/16" wheel studs we offer have a knurl diameter of .68, such at the Kodiak Wheel Bolt # K916WB25. We do not have anything with a knurl size of .60 or .62. We do have some 1/2" studs that have the knurl size you are looking for, the Redline Wheel Studs # RG03-080. Unfortunately, nothing is a 9/16" though.

Replacement Wheel Studs For 6,000LB Axle With 1/2"-20 Threaded Studs 2-3/4" Long
It sounds like you need the Dexter Wheel Bolt # 7-262. This bolt measures 2-11/16" long from the base of the head to the threaded end. It has the same 1/2"-20 thread pitch and the 0.54" knurled end. The Studs # RG03-080 you found have the same thread pitch, and knurled end diameter but are only 2-1/2" from the base of the head to the threaded end.

It is possible to use the Replacement Trailer Hub Wheel Stud # RG03-080 which is 1/2" wheel stud, inside your Lippert 6k hub, which uses a 9/16" stud. You'll want make sure that the stud is drive in as opposed to threaded, and, you'll also want to verify that the length and the knurl diameter is the same. It sounds like the Trailer Hub Wheel Stud - Drive In - 1/2" Diameter x 2" Long - Qty 1 # 7-122 is what you're looking for. This is a 1/2" x 20, 2" long stud with a .61 spline diameter-which is the closest we've got to your .62; this could just be down to a slight difference in the measurements taken and I believe this should work for you.

I wasn't able to find your specific part number hub but if you have a 5,200 lb hub with a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern you are going to need a 1/2 inch drive in stud. Longer Wheel Stubs to Fit a Shorlander Boat Trailer Hub and Aluminum Wheels
The longest 1/2 inch drive-in studs that we have are # RG03-080 which is a set of 4 and they are 2-3/4 inches long. For a longer lug nut that is 1/2"-20 threaded you can use # AM90070. If the studs are not long enough or don't have the right dimensions where they fit in the hub (see specs on product page) you might have to go through Shorlandr.

I'll start by saying that without knowing which hubs are on those axles, it's tough to know exactly which lug studs are on them, but I was able to research and determine that the studs are normally 1.8" long. Taking this into consideration, you're going to need studs that are at least 2.3" long to make up for the added space between the hub face and wheels. The only lug nut we have that may work is for the .490 right hand thread lug nut Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 1/2"-20 # LHLR103. That would only be if the wheel stud thread was 20 threads per inch. I was able to confirm with Dexter that the 5048964 axle are a 3500-lbs EZ lube axle, which will accept hubs with an # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing.
