Wheel Stud Recommendation to Fit Dexter 7,000 lb Hubs

Dexter 7,000 lb axle hubs come with either 1/2 inch wheel studs like the part # RG03-080 that you referenced or 9/16 inch diameter studs like the # 7-257. You'd need to measure what you have to know for certain.

Can you replace 1/2x20 studs in the hub with 9/16x18 studs by driving one out and the other in.Or, does it take some machining.This new hub I believe made by rockwell.tks.

If this is for a 16" or 16-1/2" application then you should be fine as those sizes can use either, but if it's for anything else I would go ahead and get a hub with the correct stud size.
