Replace the side plates that came with your Demco Autoslide underbed fifth-wheel trailer hitch (DM8550024 or DM855038). They bolt onto the hitch base so that you can attach your hitch to the factory underbed mounts in your Ford Super Duty.

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement side plates for the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th-wheel trailer hitch to fit your Ford Super Duty's Factory Underbed Rail System. Now these parts here will replace the side plates that came standard with your Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th-wheel trailer hitch. They will fit the 18,000 pound hitch, which is part number DM8550024, and it will also fit the 21,000 pound hitch, part number DM8550038. Both of those hitches we do sell separately on our website. These parts here will let you install your hitch in the factory pucks of your Ford Super Duty Factory Underbed Rail System. These are a simple bolt-on installation to your Hijacker Autoslide Hitch Base and it gives you multiple rows of holes you can see here to let you adjust the correct hitch height.All these parts are a rust resistant black powder coat steel construction.
Comes with all the mounting hardware you need, all the handles you can see right here, and the safety pins are included. These parts are made in the USA, but basically these would bolt to the side of your Hijacker Autoslide 5th-wheel hitch and they're made to fit the factory underbed system. So all you have to do once these are installed, is you just pull this clip, remove the safety pin, rotate your handle out, do the same here, do the same on the other two on the other side, and that will allow you to drop it into the factory pucks on the factory Ford system. Once they drop into place, you just rotate that handle back, drop your pin through, take your safety clip and install it, and you're all ready to go. But that should do it for the review on the replacement side plates for the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th-wheel trailer hitch to fit the Ford Super Duty's Factory Underbed Rail System..

Great fit for the Ford Puck System. Easy to adjust and now the hitch is easy to put in/ get out and tows very solid.
The instructions were clear and I easily converted my Demco Auto slide to my new Ford truck with that has the puck system.

This fit my Ford F-250 perfectly. Be ready to put in the effort with a heavy hitch. I tried the thin plates first. They were just a tiny bit off, so I had to remove them and put on the thicker plates. The product is sturdy, and I've towed about 3,000 miles with it.

Received item quickly. I recently ordered a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty Platinum Diesel. When I take delivery in February I will install the AutoSlide 5th Wheel hitch. I will update this review after installation.
Changed trucks and this kit made the change over VERY easy! Literally took minutes to remove original side plates with the Ford Super Duty plates (designed for factory installed in-bed lock down pins). Torqued to spec, and had to make a minor adjustment to one of the alternate (included) supports, and the unit plugged right in to the bed of my new truck.

The Demco hitch and alternate plates to adapt to my new truck have worked great. As a full timer, it gets a lot of use. On a couple of occasions, I needed to remove the hitch to get full use of the bed for other uses. This was fast and easy! I took the head off first to lesses the weight, and then simply slid the hitch using a couple of boards onto a couple utility horses. Then back in afterwards in less than five minutes. The plates also allow for locking the hitch into the truck bed instead of using the included lock-pins. Ive put a lock on this, just as as added security. Overall - happy with product!
As we install it the paint started chipping off
Happy with hitch except for one issue , if you come to a stop with a little incline and you are making a turn there is a quick movement of hitch sliding back, I contacted Demco to make sure adjustment was correct and adjusted per their specifications,still have that sudden movement, not sure what to do about it but I don’t like what it is doing, as far ar preventing contact with truck and trailer it works awesome I can even turn 90 degrees if needed.

The plates are very heavy duty, directions were helpful and they bolted up easily.
The shipping was fast and the assembly worked well. It could have been packed a little better for shipping as it was breaking through the box. It was not a problem since there were no small parts.
Did the measurements, but had to beat the crap out of the plates to get them into the factory Ford mount in my 2022 F250. Safe to say when I trade or sell this truck, the whole hitch is just going with it, cause it ain't coming out. Otherwise, it arrived quickly; the shipping box was damaged, but all the pieces were accounted for, and it was easy to bolt up.
Worst shipping experience I have ever experienced with any company. When I responded to etrailer they said I should have paid for shipping.
product quality is good. Shipping was quick. Product installation was as expected. took about 4 hours to get everything swapped over and that's taking my time in 100 degree weather including taking it in and out a couple of times making adjustments for a good fit.
These Demco side plates worked perfectly on my Demco Autoslide hitch. They allowed for hitch adjustment up and down as well as a little side to side depending on your needs.
Install was on my 2023 F350 with bed puck system.
No worries when it comes to Demco products.
As for Etrailer, these guys are #1 in my book!
