I have a 6077 18K Demco autoslide 5th wheel trailer hitch that has 6033 side rails that were for a 2019 Ford F250. I just bought a 2022 RAM 3500. Should I purchase replacement side rails Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch – Ram Item # DM99G or Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000 lbs Item # DM6099. Concern with rail adapter is that not sure cover will fit with the extra height?

I recommend just buying the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM99GV and swapping them from your current Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM6033.
Just swapping the side plates will allow you to use your Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550022 with your factory under bed mounts on your new RAM without the need for an heavy adapter.
