Question:
I currently have a Demco auto slide hitch for the Ford factory prep system. Is the main body of the hitch the same for all systems? If so, can I buy the side pieces separate for the GM prep system?

Expert Reply:
Yes the main body for the Demco Autoslide hitch is the same between them so in your case you'd just need to pop-off the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM6033 you currently have installed, and put on the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM49GV.
These adapter plates will now allow you to use your Demco Autoslide hitch with your factory GM prep package.
