Question:

I have a Demco Hijacker 18.000 lb auto sliding hitch that I used on my old truck with regular rails above the bed. Is there a way I can still use this hitch on my 2020 F250 with the 4 puck system?

Yes, fortunately, you do have a couple of options that will allow you to use your Demco Hijacker 18K Fifth Wheel # DM8550034 on your 2020 Ford F-250 with the OEM Prep Package.

Your first option is to use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6175, which would drop into the four pucks on your bed and give you the same connection points as standard above bed rails so you can attach your hitch to it.

Your second option is to replace the standard side plates currently on your Hijacker with part # DM6033, which feature the four lock pins that attach directly into your Ford factory pucks. This is the route I would go with to avoid having to use an adapter - the fewer moving parts the better. It's also worth pointing out that by using the Rail Adapter, you're automatically adding about 2 inches of height and an extra 100 lbs to your hitch set-up.
