Replaces the capture plates on your Demco Autoslide fifth-wheel trailer hitch so that you can use it with a Rota-Flex or Lippert Road Armor pin box. Plates prevent the king pin from rotating inside your trailer hitch.

Today, we're going to take a look at the Demco Hijacker Autoslide capture plates for the Trailair Rota-Flex Pin Boxes. Now, these capture plates will prevent your king pin from pivoting inside your Demco Hijacker Autoslide Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch, and these are required for use with the Trailair Rota-Flex pin box, but they will also work with the Trailair Air Ride pin boxes. They are a fast, easy installation. Comes with a nice set of instructions on how to install them. Basically, these brackets will replace the capture plates that come standard on your hitch, and they secure with the existing hardware. These capture plates are actually taller and longer than the factory capture plates on your hitch, which allows the auto function of the hitch to operate without a delay.

Autoslide capture plates worked great. Great doing business with etrailer.
The stock guide plates will work. That being said, these help so much more! The are taller and longer. This guides and captures the kingpin better. By covering more of the king pin with these rails it allows the auto function of the hitch to operate without a delay. The delay in operation was something I experienced with the stock rails. That is what caused me to start searching for something better. Happy to have found these!
They fit perfectly on the Demco autoslide. They are quite a bit larger so they will contact the rigid part of the rotoflex pinbox.

These are still working perfectly. I have decided it is easier to take them loose every time I hook up, then snug them after hooking. Just the design of the autoslide mot the capture plates.
Much thicker than original capture plates, works well with roto hitch
I used these to replace the old style without the adjustment nuts. These are much stronger and wont bend like the old style.
Just like it was described.

etrailer is always great to work with and their help with these capture plates for my pin box is yet another example of that. That said, like some of the other reviews that I read prior to purchasing these plates, I wonder why Demco doesn't just put these on from the factory. They are awesome and would work great with or without the flex pin box.

We’ll, here we are after a year and my Demco capture plate are still working perfectly. I highly recommend them.
Easy installation onto my Demco Hijacker Autoslide 18K and a much easier and safer looking connection to my Denali with the Trailair Rota-Flex Pin Box.

Item # DM8550034 for our Nissan Titan XD pro4x. After reading about 5th wheel pin boxes, I call to see if the factory capture plates would work for our new Keystone Cougar Pinbox. I called, spoke with Cailee V in customer service. Cailee was not 100% sure. She got my information, called Keystone to see how the pin boxes were set up. She followed back up with me the next day and advised I needed to purchase the capture plates for the roto-flex pin box. Order and they arrived in 2 days. Fit my hitch perfectly. Great Customer Service, thank you Cailee, great hitch/mounting bracket and capture plates.
Should work perfect
Hitch arrived in excellent condition. I was a little disappointed at how long it took to arrive, but with the pandemic going on, I understand. This is an excellent hitch. It definitely requires a second set of hands to drop it into the puck mounting system in the truck. My wife and I picked our 5th wheel up this past Saturday and brought it home to get it cleaned up for our trip. Very smooth and very quiet. Much better than our last manual sliding hitch. The only negative from me is that I was missing 2 of the pins that hold the arms in the locked position. Supposed to be 4 and we only had 2.

Love the 5th wheel. I hope your deliveries have been improved. If you read my previous post, you’ll know that you cannot depend on the delivery dates that they give you. Don’t get in a hurry if you need it quickly, it won’t happen.
These look much more substantial than the original ones. I have not actually used them yet but believe they will work very well.
I don’t know why they don’t just build the hitch with these on them from the factory
Perfect with my replacement head. important with Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box equips my FW.
