This hitch is designed to pull serious weight—rated at 18,000 lbs gross towing weight and a 4,500 lbs vertical load limit. The heavy-duty steel build and rust-resistant black powder coat finish give it the strength and durability needed for long hauls. It’s a solid setup that feels steady when hooked up and inspires confidence every time you tow.
For short-bed setups where turning space is tight, the automatic slider delivers 14" of fore and aft travel without you ever leaving the driver’s seat. The built-in rack-and-pinion gear system moves the hitch smoothly toward the tailgate when you turn and back to center when you straighten out. It’s a precise, controlled motion that prevents binding and gives you the clearance needed to maneuver in parking lots or campgrounds.

The wraparound single-piece jaw completely surrounds the king pin for 360-degree contact, keeping the connection snug and quiet on the road. A 3/4" thick solid steel locking bar reinforces that connection, automatically locking into place when the jaw closes. Together they create a secure link that minimizes rattle and chucking, making each trip quieter and more stable.

The double-pivot hitch head moves front to back and side to side to help level out bumps and rough stretches. Three polyurethane dampeners absorb road shock and cut down on towing noise so everything feels smoother behind the wheel. This cushioned motion also makes hitching easier since the head automatically pivots into position when it meets your pin box.
Setup is straightforward with the included rail adapter made for factory prep systems. Drop the base into the puck receivers, pin it in place, bolt on the side plates, and attach the head—it’s that simple. Three height settings (16-1/2", 17-3/4", and 19-1/4") let you fine-tune your setup for level towing, while built-in brackets stabilize your pin box without needing a separate capture plate for standard pin boxes.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter Now, this adapter is specifically designed to fit your 2016 and newer Nissan Titan XD with a 6.5 foot bed with the OEM integrated Gooseneck and then your 2017 to 2019 Nissan Titan XD with an eight foot bed, again with the OEM integrated gooseneck. Now, on custom fit parts such as this adapter, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your truck and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, this adapter is going to be perfect if you want to use your standard 5th wheel trailer hitch with your Titan XD truck's factory-installed underbed 5th wheel mounting kit.
This is going to let you use your 5th wheel trailer hitch that attaches to the standard above bed rails. However, I do wanna point out that this adapter will not work with the B&W Patriot sliding hitch. So just so you're aware of that. Now this is going to mount to the two OEM pucks. And then the center shaft that you see there, that's going to insert into the gooseneck ball hole in your Titan's bed.
So with this little bit closer underside view, hopefully you can see these pins here. Those pins are what's gonna drop into the the puck there, and then that center shaft is going to drop into that gooseneck ball hole. Now, this does use a ball bearing locking system. So right now I have it locked, but let me go ahead and unlock this. So this does include this thumbscrew with a washer.
So I'm gonna go ahead and remove that thumbscrew. And then if you just turn that slightly, taking another view close up, as you can see, hopefully those ball bearings are loose in there, so they're not secured. But after you have this dropped into place, into that puck system and into the gooseneck ball hole, you're just going to turn this latch like so. That's going to secure those ball bearings and make them to where they're not gonna be able to go back into the shaft. Insert the thumbscrew, tighten it down.
And then taking a closer look here, those balls are going to be secured into place. So hopefully you can see that. So this is made here in the USA of a rust-resistant black powder-coated steel construction. So this is very strong, very robust, very durable. This has a maximum capacity of 21,000 pounds. Instructions are included to guide you through the very simple installation process. However, I do wanna point out that even though this is going to be a very easy setup, a very easy install, this is a very heavy adapter. So you do wanna make sure that you have at least another person with you to help you lift this into your truck bed and then drop it into place. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

This hitch has worked well for me. It is now used in a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500. It is just tall enough that I can see it in my rearview mirror to make it easy to get lined up with the kingpin
