What is ground clearance?

Hey Tim! Hitch manufacturers don't save or provide that information when they design their hitches, so the only way for us to get it is if we install it. Unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to install the Curt # C63ZV on a 2024 Blazer EV yet.

The hitch sits right under the bumper, so with the small gap and collar on the receiver I would say 3" down from the bottom of your bumper is a safe bet for where the receiver sits. We do send out invites to other customers who have purchased the hitch, so with a little luck someone who owns it might jump in here and give you a more definitive answer.

What will you be using the hitch for?

Mine is on '25 Blazer EV - the cutout for the hitch is in the thin splash plate forming the bottom of the bumper. There is no change in ground clearance because it's through the splash plate, not under it. I can post a picture tomorrow.

I have measured 9 1/2” from the ground to the bottom of the hitch is clear with no weight in the vehicle or from a trailer. I’m driving on stock tires and wheels.

Edit! The hitch on '25 Blazer EV does sit below the bumper. My apologies. Clearance to bottom of hitch is 8-1/2 inches.
