Question:
I am looking to purchase a new weight distribution hitch for our travel trailer. I am wanting one with bars, instead of chains but I need 7” of drop. Does Blue Ox offer a separate shank for this hitch?

Hey Brian. The 8,000 lbs Blue Ox TrackPro item # BLU47FR does not have an option that includes a shank with a 7" drop. Blue Ox does not have one that big that can be purchased separately either but I have a solution for you that'll allow you to level your truck and trailer.
To get 7" of drop, you'll need the Curt Weight Distribution Shank item # C17121. This shank is compatible with Blue Ox weight distribution systems like the item # BLU47FR. It fits a 2" hitch and has a 1,500 lbs tongue weight capacity so it'll work with most weight distribution systems on the market.
What specific model is your Highland Ridge Open Range trailer and what vehicle are you pulling it with?
