Blue Ox Base Plate Kit that Fits 2007 Jeep Liberty

Updated 01/02/2026 | Published 12/27/2025

Question:

Hi - I am the 2nd owner of a motorhome. A Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar BX7365 is attached. It appears to be in good condition but I do need the components that connect the bar to the Jeep baseplate. I know I will need the connector pins, safety chains, emergency disconnect and so forth. Should I consider any parts for the towbar? Can you please put together a package with the Blue Ox Patriot mobile breaking system, the base plate for a 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport, safety chains/cables, wireless towing lights and replacement parts for the Blue Ox Alpha? The one I have has an instruction booklet date of 2013 and the tow bar is on a 2015 Fleetwood Bounder 32K motorhome so it is a tad old. But I see it is still in production so hope I can get parts for it. Thank you in advance.

Hey Kathryn, what specifically on the Blue Ox Alpha are you needing to replace? Unlike Roadmaster they don't have as many replacement parts but you can contact them about getting yours rebuilt but that's just not something we can help with.

For a Blue Ox base plate kit the correct for your 2007 Jeep Liberty would be the part # BX1122.

For a set of magnetic tow lights you could use the part # TL21RK. For coiled safety cables part # RM-643 would work great.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

Hi - I pretty much need everything for the Jeep connection. I’ll have to look at the hitch to know that for sure. If I need to replace the tow bar, what is your recommendation? 5000 lb tow capacity for Bounder. Thank you for the reply Kathie

@KathrynS The Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 is really nice and is more or less the upgraded and current model that replaced the Alpha.

@KathrynS Hi. We have used B Ox tow bars for all our MHs and towd’s They are excellent and we could not be more pleased with the product or the performance. The Alpha 2 is great and provides effortless towing, hooking and unhooking as well as the knowledge of safety and security that you need while traveling anywhere. The A 2 weighs a little more but it is absolutely worth it. Let me know if I can answer any other questions you might have. And BTW, trailer has always been there with great products as well as tremendous customer service. Safe travels. Charlie

@KathrynS One thing to remember is that Blue Ox recommends a rebuild of the tow bar at certain intervals. If your bar is older than the interval, you may want to consider a rebuild of the bar itself. I'm sure the experts here can help you out with what that interval is for the specific bar you have. We've liked our Blue Ox tow bar, and mine is set up a bit different than usual. We use the recovery hooks on our bronco rather than a baseplate to connect our bronco to the bar. The one thing that I can say is that the large bolts that connect the arms to the stinger have to be retorqued periodically on mine. One gets too loose and the other gets too tight. It is a pain, but not too much trouble.
