Hey Eric; there are no specific instructions for the installation of Redarc brake controllers like the Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR on a 2024 Tacoma. Your Tacoma doesn't have a custom wiring harness since there is no port for the brake controller under the dash. It is your generic installation with the splicing of the 4 wires using the universal wiring harness.

I'm not sure what all you found but with so many vehicles out there it can be hard to identify the wiring until someone installs it and reports back. You can try asking the dealer about the trailer wiring for brake controller installation but they don't always know. We haven't had a newer Tacoma in for an installation yet either so I don't have a video I can provide until that happens.

I see you looked at some brake controllers like the # C51180 and # TK94FR which plug into the 7-way at the rear for installation. Have you seen the new Redarc Tow-Pro Link # RED57AR? This gives you the Redarc reliability and functionality without having to splice anything. The main unit plugs into the USCAR connector behind your 7-way and is controlled via the remote or app on your phone. The app also has some additional functionality like the ability to check out your 7-way functions for troubleshooting and testing.

Hey Eric, did you get a chance to try out the Redarc Tow-Pro Link for your Tacoma? I'm curious if it worked well for you since it doesn't require splicing and might be a simpler solution. Your experience could really help others looking to install a brake controller on their Tacoma.
