Question:
How does this work with a factory flat connector. The trailer will have a 7 pin connector. Do I have to adapt the factory 4 flat to a 7 pin?

Hey Tyler,
If your Tundra has a factory 4 flat, you will need to adapt it to a 7 way for the trailer brakes to activate. Luckily we have a great kit that has that all for you. Along with the brake controller # RED82CR you are going to nee # ETBC7. It comes with the necessary brackets, plugs, and extra wiring to get your vehicle set up to tow that trailer. I have attached a link to an installation video on an older Tundra so you can get a better idea of how the installation process will go.
Let me know what you think of that setup and the install process.

Hey Tyler, did you have a chance to try out the setup with the brake controller and installation kit? I'm curious to know how the installation went and if it worked well for your Tundra. Your experience could really help others looking to set up their trailers.
