Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/05/2025 >
Question:
2009 Ford F-150 with a Tommy Gate. Do you have a trailer hitch assy. that would work with this setup? I had to remove the bumper and stock trailer assy. to install the Tommy Gate.

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. All of the trailer hitches we offer for the 2009 Ford F-150 like the Curt # C14002 require the OEM bumper brackets. If the bumper brackets are still present you should still be able to install a hitch. If the brackets are obstructed or not present, this would be a problem. I suggest you take a look at the diagram below and compare it to the frame of your truck.

Hey Michael, what did you find when you compared your truck’s frame to the diagram for the Curt hitch? Once you know whether those bumper brackets are still in place, I can help figure out the best next step.
