Question:

Hi there, I am contemplating the Air Force One braking system to install in a new 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon that I have on order. I plan to flat tow the Jeep behind my 2022 Newmar Dutchstar 4081, which is on the Spartan K2 Chassis. As you likely know, the Spartan chassis is already equipped with the equivalent of Freightliner’s “Brake Sync” system, as it already has factory installed equivalent to the components of AFO’s full install kit that install within the motorhome itself such as the air tank, R12 relay valve, and the airflow protection valve. I see that you offer a kit for the Freightliner chassis coaches that are equipped with “Brake Sync”. It is packaged without the air tank, R12 relay valve, and the airflow protection valve. So it is priced less, and it also includes the remote monitor system which would be a nice extra. So my first question is, is there any reason that the freightliner kit wouldn’t work just as well in my Spartan application? My second question is when I searched for the full install kit the first time on your site I accidently clicked on 2021 as the model year of the Jeep. When I change the vehicle year to 2022, and then click on the full install kit a message is included that it is “not confirmed to fit” with the vehicle. Do you know why? I know of others with 2022 Gladiators who have the AFO unit.

I have solutions for them. You will need the Demco SBS Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99209 and the Demco SBS Air Force One Coiled Air Jumper Kit for 2019 to Present Spartan Chassis
# SM6296.

The Spartan Chassis uses a different size connection point and is not compatible with the Freightliner system.

Also these will work with the 2022 Jeep Gladiator.
