Question:
My 2017 ram 2500 does not have a factory hitch. That means I have nowhere to atach6the side through bolts. Only the 4 bolts to the bottom of the frame. The listing shows this works without factory hitch. Are the 4 tip bolts sufficient or is there additional hardware needed. Referring to item 3 in the instruction manual for a 9/16 hex head.

Hey Jason, the Curt hitch part # C15801 that you referenced does fit your 2017 Ram 2500 with a factory hitch but it was designed to allow the factory hitch to be left installed with it as well. So with this installed you would also have the factory hitch in place as well.

I need to confirm. I do not have a factory hitch on the truck. That means I only have the frame rails to attach to. The instructions call for 4 bolts attached to the frame and then 2 additional bolts that go on the side of the factory hitch. Are there different instructions that only call for the 4 bolts to the frame since it shows this is compatible for my truck without a factory hitch? Are the 4 bolts to the frame sufficient for it's rating?
