Question:
Interested in replacing my factory hitch with the one below. 15801 Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V Commercial Duty - 2.5 Item # C15801 Is this hitch designed to replace a factory hitch? Do I need to lift the truck bed to do the removal of the old and install the new hitch?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Class V hitch part # C15801 does fit Ram trucks that have the factory hitch but it does not replace the factory hitch. Instead it install below it. This fits versions of the truck that have and do not have the factory hitch. We do not have any that replace the factory hitch.
