Will Flint Hill Goods Truck Bed Extender Clear Spare Tire on Jeep Wrangler

Will this work for a roof load 2018 Jeep JK with a hard top? I was wondering if it would clear the spare tire? If not, can a 2 inch hitch extension be used?

Hey Paul,
The Flint Hill Goods Truck Bed Extender # FHG89ZR gives a 3 inch extension when in the vertical position, so it may clear the spare tire, depending on where the receiver is on your Jeep. A hitch extender should not be used as that would essentially be an extender in an extender, so I recommend checking out a different option, the Yakima LongArm Truck Bed Load Extender # Y01149.
This is 9 inches from the hitch pin hole to the upright mast, which is going to give you the most possible clearance.
