While your 2015 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ with an automatic transmission can be flat towed I would recommend using a Dolly # DM9713045 since you are required to stop and run the engine when towing(see owners manual) for extended periods of times. This dolly also fold up which is great when you do not have a lot of storage area.
If you do not mind the additional steps while flat towing here is a list of the components you will need.
Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate # RM-523173-5
Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676
Roadmaster Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2
Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25
Roadmaster Smart Diodes # RO54FR
Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511
You will need a supplemental braking system of which I prefer the Demco Air Force One # DM26VR for tow vehicles with air brakes and Stay-IN-Play Duo # DM86VR for vehicles with hydraulic brakes are the best supplemental braking systems we offer. They both ensure the brakes on your Sonic are only activated when the tow vehicle is braking to prevent the brakes from becoming damaged or excessively worn.
You may also need a High/Low adapter depending on how much of a height difference there is from your receiver to the mounts on your Sonic. The tow bars should not have more than 3" of vertical difference between the vehicle. Here is a list of the different sizes available.
4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-4
6" Rise/Drop # RM-048-6
8" Rise/Drop # RM-048-8
10-1/4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-10
