Will 2023 Toyota Highlander Trailer Hitch Receiver Still Allow Use of Hands-Free Liftgate

Question:

I have a 2023 Toyota Highlander Platinum. Is there a hitch that can be installed that will not interfere with my hands free lift gate.

All of the hitches for your 2023 Toyota Highlander have the same basic design and will likely cause you to have to kick to either side of the receiver in order for the sensors to pick up your foot movement.

Since these all have the same basic design I recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR because it has a matte black finish that matches really well with black trim on modern vehicles. This not only looks cleaner than the gloss black finish but when I've installed it on my vehicles it does a great job at hiding any scratches that might occur form road debris.
