I have a 2023 Toyota Highlander limited hybrid with the kick sensor would the tow hitch block the signal

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR is going to fit your 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and still allow you to utilize the hands-free liftgate sensor you're talking about. Sometimes the sensor might have a difficult time picking up the movement but if you kick back and forth on either side of the receiver it should pick up the movement just fine.

If you plan on using this for towing then you need the T-One Wiring Kit # TK99FR with the Mounting Bracket # 18144 as well as a ball mount like what we see with the etrailer # EBMK4.
