Best Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2023 Toyota Highlander XLE

I'm looking at the hitches for my 2023 Toyota Highlander XLE and I'm not sure what I should get. Primary purpose is for our Thule T2 Pro XTR bike rack but I may end up towing a small trailer in the future as well. What's the best option for me?

The best hitch for your 2023 Toyota Highlander XLE is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR because it has the hidden crosstube and the matte black finish. I've had two of our hitches installed on my own vehicles and I really like the look of the matte black finish, but it also does a better job at hiding any nicks or dings that can happen from road debris like rocks.
Then for wiring you just need to know if your Highlander has the tow package or not. If you aren't sure you can contact your local Toyota dealer with your VIN and they can confirm what you have. Once you know about the tow package you just need to choose from the following kits:
- With Tow Package # TK74FR
- Without Tow Package # TK99FR
I also recommend picking up the mounting brackets # C57202 and # BK4F so your wiring connector is located next to your hitch receiver and ready for use.
